Modi’s New Cabinet: Key Portfolios and Appointments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was inaugurated for his third term, alongside 71 other ministers. New Ministry Appointments

A significant new appointment is 36-year-old TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu, now the Civil Aviation Minister. He replaces Jyotiraditya Scindia, who now heads the Telecom Ministry. TDP’s support was crucial in BJP’s return to power after the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan becomes the Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister. He replaces Arjun Munda and will also oversee the Ministry of Rural Development. JD(U) MP Ram Nath Thakur, son of Karpoori Thakur, has been appointed as MoS in the agriculture ministry.
