Properties of Hardeep Singh Nijjar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a vigorous crackdown against Khalistani extremists, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the security and integrity of our nation, Bharat.
In a recent and resolute move, the NIA has initiated the process of confiscating the properties owned by two individuals associated with the Khalistani extremist movement. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist and the legal counsel of the banned terror outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has found himself in the crosshairs of NIA’s relentless pursuit of justice.
The agency has also set in motion the confiscation of the properties of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Khalistani terrorist who met his end in Canada earlier this year. These decisive actions come as a result of the orders issued by a CBI-NIA Special Court located in Mohali, Punjab.
The NIA’s determination was clearly visible on a recent Saturday, September 23, when the agency carried out the confiscation of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s properties. The NIA officials arrived at Pannun’s property situated in sector 15-C of Chandigarh, where they prominently displayed a notice of confiscation. The notice unequivocally states, “1/4th share of house no. # 2033 sector 15-C, Chandigarh, owned by Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a ‘proclaimed offender’ in NIA case RC-19/2020/NIA/DLI, stands confiscated to the state under section 33(5) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 by orders of the NIA Special Court, Sas Nagar, Mohali, Punjab dated 14/09/2023. This is for information of general public.”
In addition to its actions against Pannun, the NIA has taken further steps in its relentless pursuit of those who seek to harm Bharat. A special CBI-cum-NIA Court in Mohali, on the very same day, affixed a property confiscation notice outside the residence of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Khalistani terrorist who met his demise in Canada. The notice was displayed in Bharsingh Pura village, located in the Jalandhar district. This action was executed in strict adherence to the orders issued by the NIA Mohali court.
