Shiv Shakti Point: In one swift address over Chandrayaan 3, PM Modi sends liberals and Congressmen howling and bawling!

Shiv Shakti Point: Get ready for an exciting space update from India! Chandrayaan 3 recently landed on the moon’s southern pole, making history. And guess what? PM Modi is giving this event the attention it deserves.

The spot where Chandrayaan 3 landed will now be called “Shiv Shakti Point.” Cool, right? But there’s more. The date, August 23rd, when this big moment happened, will now be celebrated as the “National Space Day.” For PM Modi, India’s moon mission is a big deal, and now we have a special name for the landing spot and a whole day to celebrate space. It’s like a double win for India’s space journey!

Fresh from his foreign engagements, PM Modi wasted no time and headed straight to ISRO’s Bengaluru command center. There, he stood before the ISRO scientists who had orchestrated the triumph of Chandrayaan-3. With admiration in his voice, he hailed their achievement.

Addressing this assembly of scientific minds, PM Modi laid out his vision. He asserted that in the 21st century, the forefront of science and technology was where a country must lead to surge past others. To emphasize his point, he recited a Sanskrit verse from the Surya Siddhanta. The essence? On Earth, we might think we’re at the pinnacle, but in the grand scope of space, there is no absolute “up” or “down.”

This verse, ” सर्वत्रैव महिगोले स्वस्थानम् उपरिष्टं, मनन्ते खे यतो गोलस तस्यैकवोर्द्धं क्वावप्याधः” was just the beginning. PM Modi highlighted that India’s ancient texts were brimming with thousands of such verses, delving into the mysteries of Earth and the cosmos. Solar and lunar eclipses were subjects of profound knowledge, he added.

Drawing attention to the past, PM Modi marveled at India’s historical grasp of large and small numbers. Centuries ago, the nation crafted calendars spanning eons, and mapped the distances between planets along with their celestial contours.

Yet, the Prime Minister’s call to the young generation stirred a debate. He urged them to explore our heritage, scrutinize ancient scriptures through the lens of modern science, and unearth their relevance. This plea, however, drew criticism from the super intellectuals of 10 Janpath and Khan Market, who seemed to perceive science and Indian legacy as their exclusive domains.

Some suggestions were straightforward, like renaming the landing site after luminaries such as Aryabhatta or APJ Abdul Kalam. Yet, a fraction of the commentary seemed to have an undertone of, well, jealousy. Among the critiques emerged those who not only questioned PM Modi’s vision but even took jabs at ISRO’s future missions, all seemingly aimed at undermining the current Prime Minister. It’s as if their aim was to eclipse ISRO’s upcoming ventures in the name of pulling down PM Modi.

Yet, the prize for the most absurd and foolhardy comment went to Congressman Rashid Alvi. In a statement that could rival even the most audacious claims from political circles, Rashid dubbed the idea of naming the lunar point “Shiv Shakti” as, and brace yourself, laughable!

In a candid exchange with an India Today journalist, a clip of which has set social media abuzz, Rashid quipped, “It is laughable. Who has given the right to PM Modiji to do the naamikaran of the surface of the moon? The entire world will laugh. We are not the owners of the moon.” It was a remark that left many bemused.

However, when the journalist pointed out that Chandrayaan-1’s landing site bore the name “Jawahar Point,” Rashid proclaimed, almost indignantly, “You can’t compare Jawahar Lal Nehru. Whatever ISRO is it is only because of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.” Trust me, Vikram Sarabhai, APJ Abdul Kalam and Homi J Bhabha would have descended to the Earth, just for whacking this Rashid Alvi black and blue!
