India is lower than Afghanistan: Time for TFI’s Press Freedom Index maybe?

World Press Freedom Index: Good morning, dear friends and foes, another day of a brilliant charade by the pseudo intellectuals, and another report screaming their hearts out that India is not a good place for journalists. Well, even I have issues, but the way these guys are trying to justify a problem that does not even exist, looks less of a concern, and trying to pass off pyrite as gold, and their enthusiasm would put even Patrick Bateman to shame.

Presenting you TFI’s own World Press Freedom Index, based on our own minimalistic research, and certainly more accurate than even the biggest guardians of press freedom ever known to mankind.

Recently, a self-proclaimed guardian of press freedom released a World Press Freedom Index, wherein India was placed at a dismal 160th place out of some 180 countries. What was even more annoying, that countries like Afghanistan, which have a joke of a press courtesy the rise of Taliban, is ranked above us. So basically, a country ruled by anarchists has more credibility in journalism than a country, where freedom of expression is rather too much for many.

We know that such folks don’t have credibility, mentally or statistically. But don’t make it that obvious that people scream the quote “Jor Jor se Bolke Scheme Bata De!”

As such, as responsible citizens of the mankind, it is our duty to relieve the public of such mediocrity. Likewise, here is TFI’s own World Press Freedom Index, which has just three parameters: Freedom of Alternatives, Federal Intervention, and above all, Basic Decency. While finding countries most generous to the press is a tough job, here are undoubtedly the countries with the environment certainly not conducive for people aspiring to be journalists:

5) Canada:

This country is an enigma in itself. You know the parameters of democratic agencies, who rate Canada highly? The PM is good looking, he is libertarian, and he kowtows to anything that these people demand. Yes, leadership, foreign policy are issues for kids, real leaders are determined by how woke they can be, according to some think tanks.

Interestingly, the same libertarianism never applies for the press circles in Canada. Anything even a letter different than the official dictum will be censored without notice. Take Khalistan for example. If someone regards this extremism as unhealthy for both Canada and India, they will not only be called out, but possibly even canceled! Welcome to Canada folks! The way they have censored Fox News has also not escaped the eyes of even a novice with term to the current geopolitics.

4) UK:

If Churchill was alive, he would have died of a shock on seeing what his glorious Great Britain has turned into, especially the media.

Churchill had proclaimed that “We shall fight to the end, and never surrender”. Well, the British media does follow this dictum, but to what end, nobody knows. The tussle between the government and the media is nothing new.

However, what is different is the way BBC has been causing massive embarrassment to both the nation, as well as the current establishment. Here, the case wouldn’t be that of restricting the press freedom, but rather of giving so much freedom, that the media has no checks and plugs for their excesses in place.

3) Ukraine:

Now this is one case study none would like to miss. Ever since the clashes between Russia and Ukraine broke out last year, this country has been receiving all the love and sympathy needed from the world powers.

However, what few understand, or even get to know, is the grim reality in the Zelensky administrated nation. The country, in the name of being anti-Russia, actually sponsors Neo Nazi groups, who would give it their all to promote anti Semitism, apart from justifying crimes against the Russians in the name of anti-war rhetoric.

Just this week, the Ukranian administration has decided to suppress any kind of information, that is detrimental to the cause of Ukraine, under the garb of “Russian misinformation”. Trust me, even Joseph Goebbels would have been shell shocked with the way the Ukranians are using the media as their tool to promote Neo Nazism.

2) Ireland:

Boy, if Mohammad Zubair and Prateek Sinha get a whiff of what’s happening, they’d be as eager to catch a ticket to Dublin as Sardar Khan and his homies were with respect to their jeep.

Why? Because the self-proclaimed fact checkers have been given unlimited access to make their own set of rules and regulations, so much so that even the Rowlatt Act of yesteryears would look childish in front of it.

Why? Because for instance, if you share a post, and this is deemed as “hate speech” by these Irish authorities, you shall be liable to rigorous imprisonment, without any scope of appeal or even a fair trial. This is precisely what some self-proclaimed guardians of press freedom what for India as well. Hypocrisy much?

1)   USA:

Imagine a place, where there is no place for alternative opinions, no scope for a healthy debate, and every known institution wants to shove one common ideology down your throats? Sounds somewhat like the novel “1984”, right?

Nope, this is for real, and you’re welcome to the United States, where freedom of speech and expression is more of a joke. Here wokes rule the roost, law and order has gone for a toss, and anybody who even dares to call a spade a spade suffers the fate of what recently happened to Tucker Carlson, a vociferous critic of the current establishment.

Someone joked for US, “Where there is oil, there is democracy”. However, they probably never looked the way the Americans operate their media, which would make even China and Nazi Germany look like angels. It wouldn’t be a surprise to say, “Where there’s American media, there is chaos!”
