Parli Vaijnath Temple is located in the famous Beed region of Maharashtra. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas temples. There are 5 Jyotirlingas in this temple.

History of Parli Vaijnath Temple

Parli Vaijnath Temple was established in 1700s. After this, it was rebuilt in 1706 by Ahilyabai Holkar, the queen of the Maratha Malwa Empire. It is believed that this temple is more than 2000 years old. According to history during the time of Samudra Manthan 14 gems including poison and nectar emerged. Fourteen diamonds emerged from the process of churning the ocean in search of the divine nectar or nectar of the gods and demons. Dhanwantri and Amrit were among the participants.
