Bhairav Mandir or Kilkari Baba Bhairav Nath Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Bhairav. Bhairon Mandir is located outside the Purana Qila opposite Pragati Maidan. This temple is one of the major tourist attractions of Delhi. Bhairav is a form of Lord Shiva.

History of this Temple

It is believed that Kilkari Baba Bhairav Nath Mandir was built by the Pandavas and Bhima attained siddhis by worshiping in this temple. The architecture of the temple reflects the North Indian style. Marble has been used extensively in the interiors of this temple, which gives the temple a beautiful look. All the idols of this temple are made in marble, which makes the temple very majestic. The main deity of the temple, Lord Bhairav, who has only faces and very large eyes Bhairon Temple is the only temple where devotees offer liquor to the deity.

Kilkari Baba Bhairav Nath Mandir opens from 5:00 AM to 12 Noon in the morning and from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 7:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:00 PM in the evening.
