Kanipakam Vinayaka Mandir – Andhra Pradesh
The idol of Ganesha in the Kanipakam Vinayaka Mandir is very beautiful and miraculous as well. This historical temple belongs to the first worshiper Ganeshji. This temple is also known as the temple of the god of water and this temple is located in Irala mandal of Chittoor district. The idol of Ganesha does not remain fixed in the same size, but as the time passes, the size of this idol is also increasing.
History of this Temple
Kanipakam Vinayaka Mandir was built by the Chola king Kulothunga Chola I in the 11th century and later the king of the Vijayanagara dynasty did the work of making this temple a huge temple in 1336. Kanipakam was named Kanipakam because of its location on the banks of a river.

Kanipakam Vinayaka Mandir opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:30 PM in the evening.
