Chandi Mata Mandir is located in Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand. The temple of Chandi Devi is a famous temple of the Hindus. The Chandi Devi Temple is situated atop the Neel Parvat on the eastern peak of the Shivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain range of the Himalayas. This temple is one of the Panch Tirtha located within Haridwar. The Chandi Devi temple is highly revered as a Siddha Peetha. It is believed to be a place where wishes come true.

History of this Temple

Haridwar Chandi Mata Mandir is believed to have been built in 1929 by Raja Suchat Singh of Kashmir. But along with this people also believe that the idol present in the temple was installed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Shankaracharya was one of the greatest priests of Hinduism. The temple is also known as the Shrine of Neel Parvat which is one of the five shrines located within Haridwar.

Haridwar Chandi Mata Mandir opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and closes at 8:00 PM in the night. After the opening of the temple, the first aarti of Chandi Devi is performed at 5:30 in the morning. After the morning aarti, the work of worship and darshan continues throughout the day.

Parad Shivling is a unique religious place located in Harihar Ashram, Haridwar. The entire temple is decorated with the Shivling of Lord Shiva which is made of 151 kg of pure mercury.
