The Mandir of Bijasan Mata is located in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. Bijasan Mata is considered to be good luck and progeny. This temple is visited by newly wedded couples from far and wide. It is known for the beautiful idol of the mother built on a simple clay stone plinth. It is said that the then Holkar rulers had built a temple here in Maratha style for the nine forms of Mata.

History of this Temple

The holy idol of the Bijasan Mata in this divine and ancient Mandir is more than 1000 years old. Once upon a time, the surrounding area used to be a forest of black deer and this place was considered a special identity for Tantra Mantra Siddhi. Earlier Mata was sitting on the platform, after that the then Holkar King Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar of Indore had got the temple of Mata Bijasan constructed in 1760. A festival was celebrated on the completion of 100 years of the construction of Mata’s temple during the British period. Which was decorated here in the year 1860 with great joy and joy.

Bijasan Mata Mandir Indore opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:30 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:00 PM in the evening.

Bada Ganapati Temple is one of the famous temples of Indore. A 25 feet high idol of Ganesha is enshrined in this temple. This temple was constructed in 1875. It is said that Shri Dadhich, a resident of Ujjain, dreamed of an idol of Lord Ganesha in the night and thus he woke up the next day and decided to build a temple there.

Kanch Mandir

Kanch Mandir is considered a grand temple of Indore. This temple is made of white stone. The temple is constructed in the form of a haveli, which also has a canopy balcony and a shikara. Kanch Mandir is a Jain temple, built by Hukumchand, a cotton merchant in the 20th century.

Annapurna Temple

Annapurna Temple is a place of pilgrimage as well as a centre of tourist attraction. Dedicated to Goddess Annapurna, the goddess of food, it also has temples for Sivan, Hanuman and Kalabhairava. This temple was built in the 9th century from India and a mixture of Aryan and Dravidian architectural styles. The height of this temple is more than 100 feet.
