Alandi Mandir Pune – Guide
There is a Samadhi of Saint Dnyaneshwar in the Alandi Mandir of Pune, Maharashtra. Saint Dnyaneshwar had spent some time of his life here. This Alandi village is also known as ‘God’s Alandi’. Chorachi Alandi is a village in Alandi in Haveli taluka of Pune district. This abode of God is twenty five kilometers away from Pune. It is very famous for Alandi Warkari people as well as for all Marathi people. The town of Alandi is situated on the banks of the Indrayani River. There is a Ghat on the river behind the Sant Dnyaneshwar Samadhi Temple. Ghat is very beautiful and attractive.
History of this Temple
The history of Alandi village is very important. A senior yogi named Changdev came riding on a tiger to meet Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. At that time Dnyaneshwar was eating sugarcane sitting on the wall with his brother. Legend has it that Dnyaneshwar walked that wall to meet Changdev. This wall is in Alandi. Alandi is a pilgrimage site.
According to historian Rajwada, Alandi village dates back to the middle ages. The mention of Alandi village is found in the Talegaon copper plate of Krishna Raja Rashtrakuta. Indra came to earth and performed Mahayaj. It is here in the Sahyadri section of the 64th chapter of the Skanda Purana that the names of this village and the regions of Varana, Alka, Karneka, Ananda and Siddesh are mentioned.

Alandi Mandir Pune opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 7:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:30 PM in the evening.

This Shivling is very ancient. Alandi was famous before Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. Because of this Siddheshwar, Shri Siddheshwar Dnyaneshwar is the family deity.
Ajan vriksha
This ruksha is considered sacred. The shadow of this tree has been lying in Deulwada for centuries. Its roots got attached to the neck of Shri Gyandev in the Samadhi Sthal and Shri Eknath Maharaj appeared and pulled it out. History says that here devotees chant Anant Parayan of Shri Dnyaneshwar.
Pundalik Temple
Pundalik Temple Built in 1857 by Chintaman Vitthal Malvatkar, a moneylender from Pune, the temple is situated on the banks of the Indrayani River.
