Shiv Shakti Mandir Bharmour is situated at Bharmour in Chamba region in the state of Himachal Pradesh which is a famous temple. This temple is considered to be one of the fine specimens of hill shrines. Devotees come from far and wide to visit this temple. Shivshakti Devi Temple is situated at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level. Being one of the famous temples of Bharmour, this place is an important pilgrimage centre.

History of this Temple

Other idols present inside this temple include the six-faced Kartikeya, the four-armed Brahma, the three-faced Vishnu, Shiva and Durga. This temple is also known as “Chhatri Ka Mandir” as it is one of the holiest temples located in Himachal. The influence of the post-Gupta period can be seen in the sculptures of the temple. This temple was built at the time when the Lakshmana temple was built here. A beautiful row of flying figures will be seen just above the entrance of the temple.
