Enslaved by the mentality of appeasement politics, Congress ditched the process of rational opposition of the developments undertaken by their political rivals. In this eccentric and cynical opposition, they have not shied away from besmirching the repute of the very institutions that are protecting them, even after such grave violations that many times were tantamount to contempt of the constitution and peddling anti-India hatred.

In fact, PM Narendra Modi had raised these anti-democratic practices of Congress in his Parliamentary addresses. He lambasted stating that whoever takes “decisions against the interests” of the Congress-led opposition is deemed wrong by their ecosystem.

PM Modi made scathing attacks at Congress

He explained it by adding – if the Army shows bravery, then they ask for evidence. Furthermore, if the Election Commission takes action, then they question the Election Commission. And if ED or CBI takes action, then they are accused of committing injustice at political directions. Even if according to them the case reached the Supreme Court, and they also gave “fair judgement”, then they start hurling accusations against the Supreme Court as well and the apex court is also wrong!

Raising fingers at the Supreme Court verdict, Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, “People are questioning the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case. People are saying the verdict was delivered under pressure from the central government. The judiciary should be independent of the executive under Article 50 of our Constitution.”

The backdrop of this howling by the Opposition against Ram Mandir

It has been a routine affair that the President of India from time to time has been appointing reputable persons in the society on ‘Gubernatorial’ roles. For a long time, politicians have been maintaining an uncanny hegemony over this prestigious post. But on certain occasions in the past, controversial Judges were entrusted with this role.

The latest attack on the independence of the Supreme Court began when the President appointed Retired Justice S Abdul Nazeer as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

Through this development, Congress gave an opening to its subdued feeling of hyperventilation on the Ayodhya verdict. It has still not been processed that it failed to derail the case anymore and the devoted Hindus got justice in this case.

Rather than following an extreme flip-flop policy of hot and cold on Hinduism, Congress leaders should embrace the civilisational values of the country. As clearly stated by UP CM Yogi Adityanath a majority of devout Hindus and Indians have attached same reverence with Ram Mandir as it is National Mandir.
