Mahua Moitra Speech: Often people do something in the heat of the moment or say something in rage that they later regret. Psychologists believe that anger builds upon frustration which indeed comes from insecurity. The tale of Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra looks to be similar.
Mahua Moitra: unparliamentary speech in Parliament
The opposition these days is keeping the media busy over the allegations of fraud against the Adani group. The same appeared in the Parliament. However, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra stole complete media attention over her unparliamentary remarks while addressing the Lok Sabha’s Motion of Thanks on the President’s address. Mahua Moitra Speech in Adani row was interrupted several times by BJP MPs. After her, it was time for TDP MP K Ram Mohan Naidu to speak, this was when Moitra was seen hurling abuses at BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
The video of Mahua Moitra uttering the cuss word during her speech has been shared by many BJP leaders including West Bengal state BJP president Dr Sukanta Majumdar who questioned the culture of the Trinamool Congress.
. @MahuaMoitra has shamed the entire WB with her unparliamentary language.
Use of such words shows the TMC culture wherein murder, violence, rape and abuses are so common. TMC leaders have lost their common sense in such atmosphere.
I feel pity for them. Bengal is watching. pic.twitter.com/O0KyuoES8j

Mahua Moitra defends cuss word during Speech, cries of Patriarchy
When asked about her unparliamentary speech in the Parliament, Mahua Moitra chose to defend herself and cry of Patriarchy. Mahua Moitra, as per her statement, is very proud of what she did. She was quoted saying, “Whatever I said was not on record and all I can say is I will call an apple an apple and not an orange. I will call a spade a spade. If they take me to the privileges committee, I will put my side of the story.”
While defending herself and her cuss word spoken in the temple of democracy, Moitra dragged patriarchy into this. She said, “What makes me laugh is that the BJP is saying ye mahila ho kar kaise ye word use ki (how could she use such a word being a woman?). Do I need to be a man to be able to give it back as good as it gets? Their patriarchy has come out.”

The list when Moitra displayed decency
No matter how much uproar her comments may have created, both inside and outside the Parliament, this is not the first time that the TMC MP has shown such indecency. In 2015, Moitra showed a middle finger to Arnab Goswami during a debate where ‘attempt to murder’ charges were being discussed. Not only this, she also enjoyed abuses being hurdled at the Prime Minister of India. She was also accused of using derogatory comments against former CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
Mahua Moitra has been an eye sore not only for her party but also TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee. What future holds for her political stint is something that only time can tell.
