Raid on the Wire Founder: In India there exist many self-anointed champions of truth who consider themselves to be the focal point of the world. In their own illusional world, they seem to have influence on everything happening around the world and in the nation. For them, what happens in the Russia-Ukraine war is an outcome of what the Modi government does in India. These alleged media outlets go haywire when agencies attempt scrutiny for their wrong doings. Leftist propaganda portal The Wire appears to be leading the pack.
The Wire and Amit Malviya
The homes of two editors of news site “The Wire” were searched by the Delhi Police on Monday, October 31, after a complaint by BJP IT chief Amit Malviya. Malviya had accused the propaganda portal of cheating and forgery. In his complaint, Malviya had alleged that The Wire “forged documents to malign and tarnish” his reputation.
The Wire had published a number of allegedly investigative reports claiming that Meta gave special privileges to BJP leader in its content moderation programme, Xcheck. The Wire had later retracted the stories and issued a public apology.
Leftists cry hoarse over raid on The Wire
This is not the first time that any media outlet is facing scrutiny by the law enforecenmnet agencies. Obviously, being a media person or institution doesnot absolves you of all your sins, rather puts on additional responsibility on the shoulders. However, the left liberal cabal fails to understand this and is busy crying vendetta.

As soon as the news of the raids broke, the cabal was at work in no time. They described the raids as politically motivated against a publication known for its perennially at times, unjustifiably critical reportage against the current dispensation. Prashant Bhushan claimed it as an attempt to harass independent media, whereas Randeep Singh Surjewala condemned the raids unequivocally. The left ecosystem intentionally ignored the offences for which the Delhi Police carried out the raids while trying to arouse sympathy for The Wire, Siddharth Varadarajan, and others and portray them as victims of state repression.

The Delhi Police on October 31 conducted searches at the residences of co-founders and editors of alleged news portal The Wire, Siddharth Vardarajan, MK Venu and Jahnavi Sen. The left intelligentsia tried to paint the raids conducted in the investigation process as another move of the fascist Modi government. But they forget that the raids followed due procedure as per the law. For those unversed with the matter, the raids were conducted for forgery, cheating, fraud, fabrication and criminal conspiracy. The Wire’s founder and editors are facing a criminal case and not a civil defamation.
What the Delhi Police has done comes as a part of investigation. Raids and seizure need to be done in case of ongoing investigation on charges of criminal defamation. The left liberal cabal needs to understand it that their cycle of lies and fake news can’t go unpunished. For too long now, they followed a pattern. first, they publish a false report in the garb of investigative journalism, then when they face the scrutiny for the same, they start crying ‘death of press freedom’.
