Uncivilised States of America- A kidnapping one day, a firing the other day and still has the gall to call India violent

Name the oldest democracy of the world, The answer will be America.  Name the leader of the free world, it’s America once again.

The United States of America (USA) has adopted a not so moral route to climb the ladder of success and power. It is the self-claimed superpower, which fails to respect the other power centres. While in every other country, policies change with a change in regime. In the US, policymakers live in the cocoon of alternate reality created by themselves. And the US’ case with India is no different.

US asks its citizens to not travel to India

In a travel advisory released by the US State Department, the US has asked its citizens to be cautious while travelling to India, categorically Jammu and Kashmir. While marking India on Level 2 on a scale of 4 with latter being the highest, in the India Travel Advisory, the US has asked its citizens to exercise “increased caution” while travelling to India due to “crime and terrorism”.

The US State Department in its advisory asked to not travel to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, barring the eastern Ladakh region and its capital, Leh. The reason cited for this was terrorism and civil unrest. The 10 km border region around India-Pakistan border has been asked to avoid due to the chances of armed conflict.

US gets rebuttal within the territory

This attempt is being seen not in interest of the diplomatic ties between India and the US. While the same US has turned a blind eye towards the chaos on their own land. And they are getting rebuttal from their own land.

The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) has termed the travel advisory “ill-founded”. While lecturing the state department, the IACC accused that the advisory is not supported by any facts. The body has called for the review to dispel the impression regarding risk in India for US travellers.

The complete chaos in the US

The United States of America that is often found lecturing the world about values of freedom, has been entrapped in chaos. Be it small scale theft to heinous crimes like abduction and murder, all of this has been a daily affair in the US.

The victim of the most heinous of crimes is the Indian diaspora living in America. A huge surge has been reported in verbal and physical attacks on Indian-Americans across the US. In the past one week, six murders have been reported including than of an eight-month old infant. All the four members of the Sikh family were recently found dead in California.

Earlier in the week, a 20-year-old student Varun Manish Chheda was stabbed to death within the Prude University campus. Gurpreet Kaur Dosanjh, a Walmart employee was shot dead and was dumped inside a car in a parking lot to rot. Two more lives were lost to shootings, one of Santam Singh, who was shot while sitting in a parked SUV in New York and the other was Sai Charan Nakka.

The law-and-order failure can lead to a civil war

The Americans are not only up in arms against the Indian diaspora staying in the US. But there is a complete mayhem. In the year 2021 alone, firearms have caused 47,286 deaths in the US. The day is not far when the Americans will be up with arms, on a mass firing spree. And there are multiple surveys to vouch for the same.

As per a recent survey by The Guardian, more than one-quarter of Americans feel so frustrated with their government that they believe it may become “necessary to take up arms” very soon.

As per Yahoo/Yougov poll, more than half of Americans believe that there will be another US civil war in their lifetime and that the country will cease to be a democracy at some point very soon.

The list of such polls is never ending and this simply indicates that more and more Americans believe the US is pretty damned and probably America can not be great again.

US has no moral ground to speak

Neither has America been able to protect its own citizens, nor has it protected the Indian diaspora, who have migrated from India and make up the highest earning ethinc group in the country.

The Indian community could have been played a big role in the world’s largest economy, but without ensuring the safety of the community this is not possible. Secondly, the US has many times in the past meddled in the internal issues of India. While India did a rebuttal, the trade ties kept growing. But any such advisory, that dares to claim the world’s 5 largest economy as unsafe, might end up hampering diplomatic ties.
