Pakistan Army scam: Pakistan, who almost fought for its formation with the colonialists, was founded as a democracy. However, since its formation, the military establishment remained as the most powerful institution that has never fallen. Rather, the army on several occasions has overthrown democratically elected civilian governments on the basis of self-assessed mismanagement and corruption.
Thus, it can be summed up that Pakistan is just a much-hyped military base with some civilians living around it. But what happens to the future of any such state when the most powerful institution is marred with corruption?
The fall of Pakistani Army
India has always adopted a policy of extending a hand of friendship and accommodation. Although it has been a failure and has backfired many times. Our soldiers have lost their lives due to these cowardly practices. As elaborated above, the Pakistani Army is the strongest institution of Pakistan and its fall means the fall of Lahore along with Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Why do I say so? Because in a recent audit report of the Pakistani government, it has been revealed that the Pakistan army has committed a scam of thousands of crores.
How Pakistani forces looted their own nation
As per reports, the Auditor General of Pakistan has detected grave irregularities in the financial affairs of the armed forces. It has been speculated that a scam of Rs 2500 crores has been committed at the hands of Pakistan army. In the report, the involvement of high rank officers has been revealed.
According to the audit report on Defence Services Accounts for the audit year 2021-22, the Pakistani Army has committed Rs 21 billion, Air forces Rs 1.6 billion and the Pakistani navy of 1.6 billion. The audit report has pointed to embezzlement of Rs 66 million in the Inter-Services Organisation and Rs 203 million by the Military Accountant General.
The report further stated that there are irregularities of Rs 2 billion in Pakistan’s military lands and cantonments. In the purchase related to Pakistan Army canteen a scam of 18 billion rupees was highlighted and sudden cancellation of issued tenders without complying with the procurement norms have incurred a loss of Rs 2 billion.

It has been elaborated that with their connivance, military lands along with the cantonment ones were sold at the cost of a penny. To add on, wrong medicines were procured in the military run hospitals and tenders were issued to ineligible vendors in exchange of huge commissions. Severe irregularities have also been highlighted in the construction of sports complexes. Purchase of gas and electricity supply has not been rigged.
Pakistan- A rogue state
The defence forces of any country command the greatest respect as they imbibe the highest moral values among all, along with love for the nation. However, in Pakistan it seems that the defence officials are as corrupt as the administration and are only working for the sake of salary.
Anyone with an ounce of nationalism would not steal a penny, when the nation faces the threat of survival and has failed to pay back its loans. This can only happen in a rogue state like Pakistan. Pakistan lives and thrives on the basis of its hatred towards India and it seems that in the way of hating its neighbour the Pakistanis have forgot the love for their own motherland.
