The debate between Fundamental rights and duties go hand in hand. But all the champions of Human rights forget that the two aren’t conflicting with each other rather are complementary. By performing one’s duty a person can ensure the rights of other persons. However, it seems that in the mad race of virtual signalling, politics wrongfully cemented the notion that Fundamental Rights are some sort of tangible thing which can be guaranteed without citizenry upholding their fundamental duties.

It is to be noted that religion is a private affair and the constitution guarantees everyone to profess their religion as and how they wish. But the key issue is that the Fundamental Rights of certain individuals to offer Namaz at such a public place hinders the fundamental right of movement of passers-by.
It is high time that citizens realise that Fundamental Rights should have certain restrictions, boundaries and laws which they need to abide by so that their experience of Fundamental Rights doesn’t hinder anyone else’s rights.
