Tata cars are performing very well in terms of safety. Its Tata Punch has been given a 5-star rating by Global NCAP. In terms of adult safety, this car has got 16.45 points. At the same time, it has got a 4-star rating in child safety. The Tata Punch gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS, front seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

The Mahindra XUV300 also gets a 5-star rating form Global NCAP for adult safety, with a score of 16.42. On the other hand, for child protection, the SUV has secured a 4-star safety rating scoring 37.44/49. Safety features of the XUV300 base variant include two airbags, ABS with EBD, rear disc brake, ISOFIX child-seat mount, seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors. The top variants of this SUV get safety features like 6 airbags, front parking sensors, electronic stability program, front and rear fog lamps, a tire pressure monitoring system and a rear parking camera.

The Altroz is the second model from Tata to achieve a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. It has got 16.13 points out of 17 for adult safety. However, the hatchback lags behind the punch in terms of child safety. Standard safety kit of Tata Altroz includes two airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminder for the front seats and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. On the other hand, its higher variants include features like height-adjustable front seat belt, rear parking camera and front and rear fog lamps.

The Nexon is the first made-in-India car to receive a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. The compact SUV initially got a 4-star rating. The carmaker later updated the model and sent it back for testing. After this the car got a 5-star rating. The child safety rating of Nexon is 3 stars (25/49). Two airbags, ABS and ISOFIX child-seat mounts come as standard across all variants of the Tata Nexon.

The XUV700 is the only three-row SUV to get a 5-star rating (16.03). It has got 4 stars in child safety. The top variants of Mahindra XUV700 include seven airbags and autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and advanced driver aids.
