What Bajwa and Shahbaz Sharif couldn’t do in Pakistan, Congress’ Gehlot has done to Hinglaj Mata in Rajasthan

Hinglaj Mata Mandir

Hinglaj Mata Mandir: Once, LK Advani had lambasted the Indian media for their role during the Emergency. He said, “You were asked only to bend, but you crawled.” It seems that these words aptly fit in politics as well.

To woo their voters, instead of rolling out slew of development works for the intended communities or public at large, they have started oppressing its naysayers.

This pathetic form of politics has cemented sadistic oppressions as an effective way to woo voters.

Apparently, the Hindu devotees have been the worst sufferer of this despicable tactic. The same is repeated yet again in Rajasthan right before the auspicious festivities of Navratri.

A cruel decree right at the stroke of Navratri

Recently, the zonal Police near Hinglaj Mata mandir in Barmer district issued a decree. Since then, the administration and Police are facing severe criticism from Hindu devotees and the opposition parties.

Through the autocratic decree, the zonal Police have prohibited the temple trust to host any kind of religious event in the highly revered Hinglaj Mata Mandir.

Additionally, as per the decree, the temple trust would require prior permission for holding any minor or major event in the temple premises.

In the decree, Police justified its insane restriction over holding religious events in the Holy shrine. The Police cited factionism in the Khatri Samaj as the reason for this regressive decree.

The police expressed apprehension that the on-going dispute and factionalism may turn violent and disturb the peace in the region.

The zonal Police further added that until the dispute is resolved completely, no religious work should be conducted in the Hinglaj Mata Mandir.

The letter addressed to the temple President stated, “In the upcoming days of Navratri and other religious programs, there are chances that the ongoing disputes and factionalism at the Hinglaj Mata Mandir may turn violent. This may disturb the peace and law and order situation of the area.”

It added, “through this notice you are being prohibited to hold any kind of religious program in Hinglaj Mata Mandir during Navratri days or on other days (until the dispute is resolved). If you want to do any kind of program then you can visit the Devasthan Department. Or organise the program only after obtaining prior permission from the district administration.” (Translated version of the notice)

The decree raises many questions. First, was it the only plausible step the Police needed to take right before the festivities of Navratri? If the Police had serious apprehensions of threat to law and order, could it not make preventive detention of the members of the factional groups? Was there any political reason behind this repulsive decision?

After this decision, the Ashok Gehlot government is in the line of fire of public and opposition. Many are terming it Tughlaqi or Aurangzebi Farman. Former MP Tarun Vijay sharing the Police notice drew parallel with Hinglaj Mata Mandir and chastised the Gehlot government.

Accusing the Gehlot government he said, “What Baweja and Shehbaz did not do to Balochistan Hinglaj mata mandir, Gehlot did in Rajasthan.”

Dharmic Significance and origin of the Hinglaj Mata Mandir

Hinglaj Mata Shakti Peeth is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas highly revered in Hinduism. It is devoted to Goddess Durga. It is located in a mountain cave on the bank of the Hingol River.

The cave temple of Hinglaj Mata is in Balochistan, Pakistan. A small divine form of Hinglaj Mata is worshipped. Other than the Shakti Peeth, Hinglaj Mata Mandir exists in Gujarat and Rajasthan.

It is claimed that Hinglaj Mata relates to the creation of the Shakti Peethas. The origin of the revered holy shrine dates back to the times of Bhagwan Shiva’s marriage with Devi Sati. Sati had married Shiva against the will of his father Prajapati Daksha.

Later, Daksha organised a great yajna and willfully didn’t invite Sati and Shiva for the Yajna. Anguished for their disrespect, Sati reached the Yajna-site uninvited. Getting a chance to vent his anger, Daksha vilified Shiva.

Aggrieved by the needless insults, Sati immolated herself activating her chakras (energy generated through her anger). Although Devi Sati died in the course of self-immolation, her corpse did not burn.

Shiva (as Virabhadra) killed Daksha for provoking Sati and her unfortunate death. However, he soon resurrected him and forgave him. Tormented Shiva wandered the universe with Sati’s corpse.

Finally, Bhagwan Vishnu had to come to resolve the crises. He dismembered the body of Sati into 108 parts out of which 52 fell on earth.

These became Shakti Peeth, temples to a form of the Goddess. Shiva is also worshipped at each of this Shakti Peeth in the form of Bhairava.

It is believed that the head of Sati fell at the Hinglaj Shakti Peeth Site in Balochistan. The holy shrine is attended by Hindus and Muslims of the area. It is said that devotees get blessed for their intended wish.

Moreover, Hinglaj Yatra is the largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan. More than 250,000 people take part in the Hinglaj Yatra during the spring.

Now, the question arises that is the threat to law and order graver in Rajasthan than Baluchistan? The rabid Hindu haters in Pakistan have been relentlessly targeting Hindu devotees, Mandirs and sites related with Hinduism.

Even then, the Pakistan deep state, Bajwas and Sharifs could not stop the prayers in the Hinglaj Mata Shakti Peeth in Pakistan. However, neck deep in appeasement and vile for Hindu traditions, Rajasthan administration have done what Pakistan failed to do after decades of conspiracies, oppressions and torcher on Hindus.

Appeasement Lords should remember that Karma pays back in compound interest. Needling and stopping Sanatan practices and religious festivities will not guarantee power for long; instead will be the reason for their complete political obliteration.
