Congress has launched a nationwide 150-day long ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Contrary to its claim of unifying the nation and consolidating the feeling of fraternity, the rally has been marred by its divisive and destructive tactics. It is facing flak for its hateful social media campaign against its ideological rival Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Now, it seems that Congress has deployed its army of trolls and sympathetic journalists to defend its indefensible act.
Rajdeep Sardesai comes to rescue Congress
It seems that the so-called Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai is becoming the go-to man for Congress in times of crisis. The self-proclaimed ‘Champion of Journalism’, Rajdeep Sardesai time and again has marched ahead to rationalise and shield the immoral acts of Congress leaders. He has become the knight in shining armour for the grand old party. He doesn’t hesitate in overdoing the bidding for his political masters. Apparently, in a recent media interaction, he tried to distance the entire Congress leadership from the ghastly ‘RSS shorts burning’ campaign.

The video of this interaction soon became viral. In the video, Congress’ man Friday Rajdeep Sardesai can be heard shielding the Congress top leadership from the controversial RSS Shorts burning campaign. He claimed that leaders like Digvijay Singh were vehemently against such hate campaigns against RSS. In this desperate attempt to save his masters, Sardesai threw the Congress’ new generation social media team under the bus. He asserted that uploading the image of burning RSS shorts was the sole decision of the young Turks of Congress who were super elated with this campaign.

Further, Rajdeep claimed that leaders of the old guard condemned the shorts burning campaign. As per his claim, a senior leader of Congress advised the party’s high command to visit the residence of ordinary RSS Swayamsevak who had suffered at the hands of the violent Communist regime of Kerela. Reportedly, the unnamed Congress leader preached that the party should shun the insane and relentless fight against RSS, rather it should start embracing some sections of RSS.
In the end, he dubbed it a result of a generation and communication gap between the senior party leadership and its social media team.

Notably, the alleged journalist forgot that Congress’ scion Rahul Gandhi has been making vitriolic statements about RSS from a long time. In fact, he had once dubbed RSS’ ideology more dangerous than the dreaded terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). So before defending his favourite party, Sardesai should sync his take with that of Rahul Gandhi otherwise he would only end up humiliating himself.
