For a very long time Bollywood superstars took the audience for granted. Even after repeated calls to shun their anti-Hindu propaganda, they didn’t put their foot off the accelerator. But now, the tables have turned for the Bollywood superstars. The Indian audience has started to show them the mirror. Their hideous track record has forced them to kneel down and beg audience to see their crappy movies. But nobody is going to fall for it this time. People have seen through their crocodile tears and it has no takers, at least in India.
Super flop star Aamir Khan
Before the advent of social media and awakening in the audience, Aamir Khan made a fortune from movies like Fanna – eulogising terrorists, PK – mocking the Hindu faith, and the so-called ‘Satyamev Jayate’ which was biased to say the least. Yet the audience waited in admiration for his movies. But things have changed for the good. People have started questioning their propaganda and anti-India acts (fiasco over meeting the Turkish first lady). People spontaneously started the Boycott trend which only accelerated as the movie release came nearer resulting in humiliation for Mr Perfectionist aka Propagandist.
Evidently, his latest movie Lal Singh Chaddha is proving to be a disaster at the box office. Earlier, the ‘superstar’ Aamir Khan used to refrain from marketing his ‘product’. But now he is begging at several platforms, running desperately (both metaphorically and literally) requesting the audience to watch his dimwit caricature of Forrest Gump.

Aamir Khan would have thought to mint money from the long weekend but the Indian audience have given the movie amiss. The movie has failed to draw audiences to the theatres. Reportedly, Aamir Khan spent 14 years for this movie and invested around Rs 180 crores to make an Indian adaptation of Tom Hank’s starrer Forrest Gump. The movie has only collected pennies. It will be next to impossible for it to reach a break even, that is, recover its investment. On the release day, it grossed between Rs 12 crores. The movie’s pathetic storyline has attracted bad word of mouth publicity. On day 2, its collection tanked further. It amassed only Rs 7.50 crores.

On top of that, the critics have junked the movie. Movie critic and Biz analyst Taran Adarsh has called Lal Singh Chaddha disappointing. As per many movie buffs, the worst thing about Lal Singh Chaddha is Aamir Khan. Reports claim that it may soon have to end this humiliation and drop the movie on OTTs so that it gets some viewership. These all things clearly indicate that the movie is going to be a super flop in India.
Can Pakistan save it?
Some media reports claim that Pakistan has taken it on them to ferry the sinking ship of their ‘favourite’ actor Aamir Khan. Pakistanis are in talks with their authorities to release the Aamir Khan starrer movie Lal Singh Chaddha in theatres. But isn’t it funny that a nation which is living on foreign alms and can’t afford Chai, is hoping to spend more than Rs 100 crores to save the fortune of a crappy movie? However, there is nothing wrong for Pakistan being Pakistan as it has to continuously live up to its expectations.

However, Pakistan is not the only nation which may try to save Propaganda King Aamir Khan. Apparently, there is a lot of buzz on Aamir Khan starrer movies and China. China has been “surprisingly” too “affectionate” for few actors like Aamir. “Coincidentally”, his movies have done more business in China than India and the world combined. Surprisingly, India’s most loved movie Bahubali is not the most successful movie in terms of gross revenue.

The regional cinema garnered love and its overall business clocked Rs 1900 crores. At that time, an idea struck the producers of Dangal. They released Dangal in Chinese circuits. The movie, made with an investment of Rs 70 crores, crawled to reach Rs 670 crores in India. However, the Chinese opaque cinema industry poured enormous love on so-called Mr Perfectionist. In China, Dangal alone gobbled Rs 1400 crores.
Then, the tsunami of Chinese love for Aamir had no barrage stopping it. His movie “Secret Superstar” made with an investment of Rs 15 crores, did a humongous business of Rs 900 from the Chinese.
The Chinese economy is opaque. Nobody can see what trends are going on there. Its hard to compare the occupancy of these movies viz-a-viz other movies like Bahubali. Furthermore, China has been pumping money into India for its nefarious reasons through money laundering and misuse of crypto currency. These all things are making people connect some dots. Many are suspecting rigging or dubious numbers of movies that became super hit in China. Not just ordinary citizens, Member of Parliament Nishikant Dubey have voiced the same concern.

It seems that Karma is coming back for Aamir Khan. This movie which has got thumbs down from the Indian audience has brought the performance of his previous movies to the fore. If the Chinese surprisingly pours their love for this crappy movie and it shoots up the collection of Lal Singh Chaddha, then it will surely invite the eye of the investigating agencies.
