Aamir Khan resorts to begging people to watch Laal Singh Chaddha

Laal Singh Chaddha aamir

One should be aware of what one speaks or does; as Karma comes back. The same is happening with Aamir Khan just before the release of Laal Singh Chaddha. While Aamir Khan’s past stints has landed the movie in controversy, Aamir has been forced to resort to begging people to watch his movie.

Karma comes back to haunt Mr. Perfectionist

Firstly, for those unversed, Aamir Khan’s latest project Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of Oscar-winning Forrest Gump, which was released 28 years ago on July 6th, 1994. It took Mr. Perfectionist 14 years for Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, and the trailer was finally released on 29th May this year, and is scheduled to hit the theatres on 11 August.

However, since the trailer release, the film has found itself in controversies and netizens are calling for its boycott. Netizens posting trends like #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha have dug up Aamir Khan’s controversial statements that he has made a few years ago. Aamir Khan’s anti-India arrogance and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s arrogance has come to haunt them back.

Aamir Khan begs to not boycott Laal Singh Chaddha

The call for boycott of the film is fuelled by the claim that Aamir Khan doesn’t feel safe in India. And truly, Aamir Khan is himself guilty for the same, as in 2015, Khan passed on many remarks regarding “India’s growing intolerance”. In addition to that his ex-wife Kiran Rao also stated that she considered leaving the country. The backlash is such that Khan himself has to assure the people of India that he loves India.

At a recent press conference regarding the film promotion, responding to a question on trolling, Khan said that he feels sad when he is trolled. Well, just for an advice to Mr. Perfectionist, trolling is just the backlash of his anti-India remarks.

He also said that, “I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their heart, believe that I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts they believe, but it is untrue. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That’s not the case. Please don’t boycott my film. Please watch my film.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is flop, even before its release

While Aamir Khan and his PR team may think that by saying “Aamir loves the nation”, they can pull audiences into the theatres, but Indian audience is aware enough to identify that an actor and a producer is speaking those lines, just to save his movie from tanking at the box-offfice.

However, even before its release it has been predicted that the film is going to give no gains to the producers. As elaborated by TFI earlier, Boycott trend actually works, and Laal Singh Chaddha is going to fall flat on its face.

Some other reasons may add-up to the backlash once the film is released. While Forrest Gump was high on conservative values, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha will be a disaster, reason; same as Forrest Gump, this will also be highly political in nature. While the Forrest Gump showed the US Army in bad light, Aamir Khan might commit the same with the Indian Army, and if it happens then it will definitely infuriate Indians. Aamir Khan, for the person he is, is surely going to depict the India–Pakistan War the same as the US-Vietnam one. Mind you, India-Pakistan War can never be compared with the stupidest war ever fought.
