Political correctness and monkey balancing have become a plague in India. Even when all the things are crystal clear, individuals try to twist things to please the masters in the Islamo-leftist lobby and give obnoxious remarks. Further, it has become a trend to invoke and tarnish Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in every political situation to sound intellectual. They don’t hesitate in comparing apples with oranges. A similar bizarre event took place in Bihar when Police officials were briefing the media about the sinister plan of the PFI-linked alleged terror module.
Press briefing about the busted terror module
During the security check before PM Narendra Modi’s Bihar visit, Police, on credible intel, arrested two suspected terrorists who were planning to target PM Modi. During the raid, the Police officials found incriminating documents in possession of the suspected terror duo. The PFI-linked duo was planning to bring Islamic rule in India. They were circulating documents internally which said if even 10% of Muslims rally behind the Popular Front of India (PFI), they will “subjugate the coward majority” and bring back the “glory”. It also mentioned the support of friendly Islamic nations at the time of a full-fledged showdown with the state.

Drawing parallels between RSS and extremist group PFI
The Patna SSP, Manavjit Singh Dhillon while addressing the media about the arrests drew illogical parallels and compared RSS shakhas with extremist group PFI. He compared physical training in RSS shakhas to the ones that were being conducted by the arrested terror suspects. It was bizarre to compare the two as the arrested PFI members were training Muslim youth to use swords and knives and were brainwashing them to carry out religious violence.
The Patna SSP MS Dhillon said, “They (arrested PFI members) used to mobilise youth from mosques & madrasas towards radicalisation. Their modus operandi was to act like an RSS Shakha where lathi training is given. They would call them for physical training but also brainwash & radicalise them”.

This bizarre comparison between two stark organisations drew strong criticism from the BJP, which is in government in alliance with JD(U). The BJP stalwart leader and Former Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad condemned the irresponsible comparison made by Patna SSP. The party also wanted action against the Police official for this indecent comparison.
He said, “I seriously condemn the comment of SSP Patna in which the training of PFI is compared to RSS. This is irresponsible and indecent. It is absolutely not acceptable to compare the work of a nationalist normative organization like Sangh with PFI and such terrorist organization.”

He added, “We are satisfied that the high level departments of Bihar Police Administration have taken cognizance of this and they have been given notice. I am sure that appropriate action will be taken.”
Later, the Minister made a video and said, “RSS is an honest and nationalist organisation that works in the interests of the country. The Sevaks have always fought against terrorism. However, comparing it with the PFI, which is an extremist terrorist outfit is not at all acceptable”.
हमें संतोष है बिहार पुलिस प्रशासन के उच्चस्तरीय महकमों ने इसका संज्ञान लिया है और उन्हें नोटिस किया गया है। मुझे विश्वास है कि उचित कार्यवाही होगी।

ADG (headquarters) JS Gangwar responded to strong criticism of BJP and assured of necessary action after properly examining the statement. He said, “We are getting the statement examined. If need be, action would be taken”.
We have mentioned earlier that political correctness and monkey balancing is a plague.
The alliance partner of BJP, to appease its Muslim voters tried to distance themselves from the BJP’s demand. Some even shielded the SSP for drawing the RSS-PFI parallel.
HAM-S, an alliance partner in the ruling government with BJP-JD(U) supported the SSP. Its spokesperson Danish Rizwan said, “He is unnecessarily being dragged into the controversy. If talking of the Islamic State is a crime then is it right to advocate for Hindu Rashtra?”. The principal opposition party latched on to the statements of the SSP, backed him and levelled serious allegations and accusations against the RSS.
However, the CM or the JD(U), a major alliance partner of the BJP refused to comment on the statement. Additionally, the government only gave a rap on the knuckles. It only asked for clarification from the concerned SSP.
This begs the question of why the BJP keeps on supporting the JD(U) when in response it always keeps a distance from it. JD(U) many times to appease its Muslim voters, speak against the core values of the BJP and stand in opposition to most of its political issues like CAA, NRC, caste census and others. Additionally, the JD(U)’s voters and seats are on a continuous decline with CM missing at key moments and has not done enough for the development of the state. The JD(U) has started to become a liability for the BJP and it is high time for the saffron party to stand tall and break the alliance. The BJP has to fight election alone in the state to get rid of its dilly-dally alliance partner JD(U).
