“Janaam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai, Yeh Ham Decide nahi kar sakte, Par jeena kaise hai, woh hum decide kar sakte hain.” These are the words of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who departed before he could achieve the success he actually deserved. However, since his unfortunate demise, opportunistic vultures, who wish to gain from the tragedy, have been hovering over the issue. The list of such is too long, from Bollywood insiders who wept crocodile tears, to the media industry. The recent entrant in the list is Flipkart.

Depression is a serious mental ailment
The attempt to sell the T-shirt, by using the image of Sushant Singh Rajput, is being seen as an objectionable and unorthodox method of marketing. The public has gone all guns blazing, not only for connecting the late actor to depression, but for also making a mockery out of a serious mental ailment like Depression. And to your surprise, this is not the first time, as earlier, Deepika Padukone too had tried to sell depression. In return, she gained popularity.
Depression has become a go to thing for the Instagram generation of today. The term is being used commonly, sidelining the long term consequences.
SSR: A man whose legacy still lives
Reading TFI Founder’s message for the late actor, one understands what kind of a man Sushant was, apart from the image presented by the media. A religious man with scientific temperament. Later, his Patna residence that accommodated the late actor’s telescope, books, guitar among personal things was converted into a memorial.
He passed away in 2020, almost two years back, but his legacy still lives on. A man with kind gesture, who treated his fans with utmost respect. Till today, the mystery of the actor’s death remains unresolved, and justice for SSR is still awaited.
