“We Create Illusion of a War;” America’s Master Strategy to wreck the world

Jacobin

America emerged as a phenomenal superpower after the Second World War. Though it was already an economic superpower in the pre-war era, the way it experimented with its nuclear arsenal towards the end of the war sent some shivering signals to the existing powers of the era. But, now it has become a dominant strategy on which the US’ entire existence is based. They wreck the world by selling the illusion of war.

Former US officer exposes Uncle SAM

A retired Army officer of US Army has officially exposed the military-industrial complex of Uncle Sam. In a video which is now going viral on Social Media. Retired Col. Richard Black explained the hollowness of the United States’ claims that they are trying to protect the world and democracy.

Richard said that the US’ claims that the world is in danger does not stand the test of factual analysis. The total number of military bases of the ‘rivals’ of the USA is barely 35 (Russia and China combined). On the other hand, allegedly only to defend itself, the USA has created 900 outposts in other countries. He basically proved that the USA creates a negative environment around other countries and then provides arms and ammunition and other military facilities.

The USA fakes everything

Richard said that it is not because countries actually need arms and ammunition. According to him, it is the other way around. By hyping fear of death, USA creates demand for self-defence and then sends their allied arms manufacturer to serve them. So, no matter how much the US claims that it is serving humanity, the fact of the matter is that it only serves its financial interests.

He also explained how the USA performs its military operations in other countries with so much ease. Explaining USA’s strategy, Richard said, “We got into a country, We set up NGOs, We take over the government if we can, if we can’t we just bomb the place half the time”.

Richard’s admission of US strategy to sustain itself came too little, too late for the world. It is already an open secret that neither the USA, nor any other Western country is interested in any kind of democracy whatsoever. It has in fact never been in its 246 years old existence as a nation free from British captivity.

Arms industry is backbone of USA

Weapons are the foundation on which America is built. The country was formed after an extremely violent arms uprising. That is why the American Constitution is built on distrust between citizens and government. Distrust leads to conflict which paves the way for the arms industry to flourish.

For the next 154 years, the US’ arms industry kept catering to domestic needs as various rounds of internal skirmishes kept hitting the country. But, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour allowed the arms industry to fully flourish outside its geographical limit. Various experts believe that dropping atomic bombs on Japanese cities was not going to change the course of second world war as Japanese were about to surrender anyway. America used Japan as a testing ground.

USA started to export after the Second World War

After the end of the Second World War, the USA arms lobby started to face the crunch. For them, the end of conflict means denial of opportunity which they could not afford. So, the USA had to discover the enemy. But, whom would they choose? Almost every major country was busy rebuilding itself. However, Soviet Russia was emerging as its competitor and the USA sniffed an opportunity.

They created an ideological enemy and bifurcated the world into Capitalist vs. Communist. The cold war had started and its first victim became the Korean Peninsula. The North South divide is still one of the most ghastly acts of humanity. For many years, the USA kept shouting that the USSR would destroy the world, on the basis of which its arms industry kept getting constant orders.

Vietnam War and anti-Soviet crusade

Soon, the world wanted to see whether fears spread by the USA are actually true or not. Out of thin air, “the great experiment” launched an offensive on Vietnam, which went for 20 long years. Millions of people died, but it does not matter for the US administration since their arms industry kept getting enriched. While it was involved in the crisis with Vietnam, USA registered its active involvement in Laotian, Lebanon, and Cambodian crisis among others.

After the Vietnam War, the anti-Soviet crusade in Afghanistan and other neighbours of the USSR became the main source of funding for the US arms industry. When the Soviet Union fell in early 1990s, the world finally thought that it could get a sigh of relief. But, relief is the enemy of arms manufacturers. They spent the next decade lobbying the US Congress for intervention in the Gulf war, Somali civil war, Kosovo war, Bosnian War, Croatian war among others. The US government obliged and returned the favour.

21st century has been boon for the lobby

At the beginning of the millennium, 9/11 attacks proved to be a blessing in disguise for the industry. US’ Afghanistan operation which could be easily finished within 20 days was extended for 20 long years at the end of which it left weapons worth $85 billion in the hands of Taliban. It also invaded Iraq in 2003 on the flimsy ground that the country had nuclear weapons. But, there was more to it than on the face. The Iraq war opened the gate for more conflicts in the region which ultimately benefited the arms lobby only.

Moreover, by creating an illusion of destruction of the democratic world order, it has enabled the expansion of NATO, paving the way for more arms’ needs. The Russia-Ukraine crisis is actually a USA manufactured incident.

Stats also back the claim made by Richard. The US arms industry has only witnessed an upsurge in its exports. In 2021, it nearly doubled its arms exports compared to 2000. Its exports now consist of 37 percent of global arms exports. In fact, the Middle East, the targeted zone of US industries, comprise the highest percentage of its total trade.

Violence is against any civilisation. Until there is a tyrannical force affecting human lives, there is no need for it. Only uncivilised people resort to violence as first line of attack.
