Rahul Gandhi wanted to become Mahatma Gandhi, Delhi Police turned him into a no-good Gandhi

He is a forced politician who neither has any political expertise nor does he have any interest in politics. But, unfortunately, he is an active leader in politics and that too, from the aged-old political party of India. Moreover, his activities and how he keeps giving us reasons to blame him, leave us with no other option but to report.

Rahul Gandhi summoned by ED

Rahul Gandhi, reportedly, is being interrogated by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case. He was quizzed for over 10 hours on Monday at the ED headquarters on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in central Delhi where he was accompanied by his sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Notably, his second appearance before the Enforcement Directorate was witnessed on Tuesday. He was again summoned by ED for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. For those unversed, Gandhi scion is being grilled by ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Congress goes berserk

As Rahul Gandhiwas set to appear before the ED on Monday, Congress party MLAs and MPs from different states united in Delhi for the ‘Satyagraha’ march from the AICC headquarters to the ED office. Several Congress members gathered outside the AICC headquarters to protest against ED’s summons against Rahul Gandhi.

Congress general secretary and chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tried to attack the government saying that the Union government is “scared” of Gandhi’s politics. “This entire exercise is illegal, unconstitutional, malicious and an exercise by a prime minister burning in the fire of political vendetta,” Surjewala held a press conference to accuse the central government.

In one such attempt, he also took to Twitter to compare Rahul Gandhi with Mohandas KaramChand Gandhi. He wrote, “Godse’s descendants could not make Gandhi bow down then. can’t make bow down now.

Dear Surjewala, first of all, Rahul Gandhi is not Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. More importantly, only Gandhi surname is not enough to become a ‘Mahatma’. How can you even assume that the Gandhi scion will be spared only because he is privileged with surname Gandhi?

Interestingly, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was surrounded by hundreds of party workers while marching to the Enforcement Directorate office.

Delhi Police detained the Congressmen

Witnessing the chaos created by Congress workers and senior party members who started sloganeering, showing placards, the Delhi Police took the action to prevent any further chaos in the city. Around 13-15 people, including women were detained. “Congress workers have been detained from Akbar Road, Q Point, APJ Kalam Road, and Man Singh Road and taken to the Mandir Marg police station,” said a senior police officer.

Notably, on Sunday, DCP (New Delhi) Amrutha Guguloth had already issued an order that the Congress protest march cannot be given permission because of the “communal situation” in Delhi.

Despite this, the Congress lovers gathered outside the ED office to create chaos. But, no worries when the Delhi Police is there.

On Tuesday, hundreds of Congress leaders and supporters were detained outside the party headquarters at 24, Akbar Road and around central Delhi.

The BJP slammed them saying it shows that its “leaders are above the law” and termed the protests “drama”.

“When lawful action is taking place in a case of corruption, Congress is doing this drama and blocking roads….it shows the party considers its leaders above law,” BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra said.

Among the leaders detained were prominent names like Randeep Surjewala, Jairam Ramesh, Gaurav Gogoi, Deepender Singh Hooda, Ranjeet Ranjan, Jeby Mather, Imran Pratapgarhi, Youth Congress chief B V Srinivas and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) chief Neeraj Kundan.

“Our protest will continue. What happened to ED cases against BJP leaders Himanta Biswa Sarma and Narayan Rane?. I have been detained,” Chief Minister Baghel began crying hoarse after he was detained.

“Police have made arrangements like we did yesterday. We are fully prepared and have requested the protest organizers to hold gatherings at the designated place which is Jantar Mantar. We had detained 449 people yesterday who were later released,” Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order).
