‘Murder Culture’ is Maharashtrian culture – Sanjay Raut’s latest gaffe

Raut sanjay

Education is one of the most important ways to enlighten our soul. But it is not a guarantee that an educated person will be civilised, sane and wise. That is why it is said that never mistake knowledge for wisdom. Mere knowledge and education can help you fulfil your animalistic needs but civility and wisdom helps in making a life meaningful for humanity. The same confusion seems to be in Maharashtra where a Member of Upper House seems to have lost his sanity and is suffering from verbal diarrhoea about knowledge, conscience and soul.

Motormouth demeaning Marathi Asmita

What according to you defines the Marathi Asmita? If the first thing that comes to your mind is the rich and proud cultural heritage of Maharashtra and valours of Marathas then you will be utterly shocked and outraged at the new definition according to Shiv Sena’s ubiquitous motormouth Sanjay Raut. He has been notorious for his obnoxious statements which are full of narcissism, devoid of civility and sanity.

After giving direct threats of Shiv Sainiks rampaging roads and turning streets on fire, he has given dire warnings to rebel Shiv Sena MLAs. He made an abhorrent statement saying that 40 corpses will come back from Guwahati.

He said, “40 MLAs in Guwahati are living corpses, their souls are dead. Their bodies will be sent directly to the Assembly for post-mortem when they come back. They know what can happen in the fire that has been lit here.”

Instead of apologising and taking his words back which are liable to be punished under law for giving life threats, provocation and inciting violence he has gone on an overdrive to justify his verbal diarrhoea. To justify his “corpse” threat he termed it as a way of speaking in Maharashtra. He shoved the Marathi Astima down the drains to shield his crude threats. The Rajya Sabha MP demeaned the stature of the Upper House as well. This has forced us to ponder on the degrading acumen and intellectual arguments of RS MPs.

RS MP Sanjay Raut said, “Their bodies are alive, but their souls are dead, it is a way of speaking in Maharashtra. What did I say wrong? Those who stay in a party for 40 years and then run away, their souls are dead, they do not have anything left in them”, these are the lines said by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiment, I just told the truth.”

He made a derogatory statement for all those who could not get good fortune to have formal education. He termed ‘jahil’ (uneducated) as a living corpse. The MP should have resisted his urge to prove himself dimwit and not known the difference between formal education and wisdom.

Shiv Sena without ‘Hindutva’: Dead or Alive, Sanjay ji?

He said, “I tweeted a video of the speech of Gulabrao Patil where he is talking about those who change their fathers. What he said is correct for all those sitting in Guwahati. My tweet is for people sitting in Guwahati. Patil said in his speech. People eat, drink and enjoy the party and then change their father, we aren’t like them”.

By going with the logic of Mr Raut, who do you think changed their political Godfather? If we recall BalaSaheb Thackeray was considered as the Godfather of Shiv Sena but this seems to have changed as now many political analysts claim Sharad Pawar as Shiv Sena’s new political Godfather.

Another thing, what according to you was the soul of Shiv Sena? Was Hindutva the soul of Shiv Sena or not? If yes then Sanjay Raut should answer whether the party was alive or dead when it compromised and strangled the Hindutva for more than two-and-a-half years.

Nobody in the history of Indian politics has done more damage to any state or party than the motormouth Sanjay Raut. His loose derogatory and unparliamentary words for a well known actress was the moment which emboldened his rubbishness and made him think above law and everybody else. Hence, the situation has come where he is giving direct threats and vomiting anything and everything wrong that crops up in his mind. Maharashtra was and will be known for great valours of Shiva ji and other Marathas not for “Murder Culture”.
