JNU VC hits the Left where it hurts them the most – Freeloading!

JNU has been out of the news for quite some time now. Time and again, a little spark appears out of the subterfuge, but that dies down soon. Apparently, that is because the poor and downtrodden can’t relate to the self-correcting moral philosophy of the elite class. But it also means that the new VC is managing it better. Another such example has propped up. She is now hurting leftists by tightening the noose on the Freeloading culture spread on the campus.

 Dhaba owners to vacate JNU

JNU has plainly asked the owners of canteens and Dhabas to evict the campus. The due date is June 30, 2022. According to official documents available with an administrative block of the University, all of the shops under the radar were allotted “without following due tender procedure”. The eviction letter handed over to a total of 10 alleged illegal Dhabas, Canteens, and Xerox shops have been provided as per the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971. The letter handed over to them also mentioned that the owners have not even paid their due charges such as rent, water, and electricity.

The notice read, “It is hereby directed to clear the outstanding dues against him within 7 days, from the date of issue of this letter with the direction that he has to VACATE the University premises by 30.06.2022. Failure to comply with the above direction the named hereunder liable for eviction proceedings as per Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act 1971. Dues on account of rent, water and electricity charges, etc., outstanding against the said space up to the date of vacation, should be cleared.”

The larger meaning behind the move

Well, on the face, the move is a simple order asking illegal occupants to evict the premise. Any responsible authority will do that. But there is a larger significance of the order. Its impact is going to be huge when it comes to changing the culture inside the Southern part of Aravalli Ridge. Let me explain.

JNU has a huge campus. It is broad and it may take you an hour for you to just walk from one end to another. This is why once someone is in there; they do multiple manoeuvrings with their mindset to stay on the campus for their whole life. However, that is not an easy task. Simply because the University is government-funded and any kind of anti-national whispering can easily reach to top echelons of the power. But anti-nationals have to continue their agendas as well.

Dhabas are a hotbed of Leftism

These Dhabas, canteens, and Xerox shops started to become their temporary shelters. A particular Dhaba named Ganga Dhaba is particularly famous for hosting ‘intellectual’ debates and discussions. A tea costs Rs 10 and that’s how 20-30 people gather there and devise their strategies. It is at these places where student leaders are present to welcome anyone joining their narcissistic protests, apparently against the Indian state.

There is no shortage of funding for them as well. Like you see an average protestor outside university campuses having absolutely no idea why he is there, it’s the same in the JNU as well. Most students who have somehow joined the protests are there to study and fulfil their parents’ dreams. They just join in because these leftists help them in tiny administrative-type clerical matters. On the basis of their muscle power, a paper having a leftist’s stamp is processed easily in offices. Remember Pallavi Joshi’s dialogue from”The Kashmir Files”, “Sarkaar Unki hai, par system toh hamara hai”.

They cannot do it outside the campus

These Dhabas are the headquarters of the system under leftists’ control. By gathering students for pecuniary gains, the student leaders communicate to their party heads that they have numbers. From there they get funds and the cycle goes on for generations. If you are in Delhi, just visit it for a day.

It is not that such kinds of shops do not exist outside university premises. In fact, they do more in numbers than those on campus. But, the problem with these Dhabas is that they would not allow any kind of ulterior discussions against India. After all, they are not the paid stooges of student leaders. They are daily wage laborers who believe in hard work and nation-building, not a freeloader.

Victim card out in the open

As expected, the protests have started, and guess what this time as well they are playing the poverty card. Comically, one of the owners is reported to have said that he hasn’t paid a salary to his workers for one year. The left leaders won’t coerce him to pay his workers, as it is never about the principle. It is about the individual.

The latest circular is an excellent beginning to the end of elite class activism.
