If Satyendra Jain deserves a Padma Vibhushan, then Arvind Kejriwal certainly deserves an Oscar

It seems that nothing is impossible in Politics. When one thinks that Politicians cannot stoop any lower, they always come up with surprises and shake the confidence of people in the political system. That is why it is said that Politics is akin to a dirty business and only for the shameless tainted scoundrels. This has been the main reason why many civilised and reputable people in society don’t want to enter into the political fray. Similar things are happening in Delhi as the National Capital is witnessing a theatre of absurdity where rewards rather than punishments seem to be the norm for tainted leaders.

Bizarre and Atrocious demand by the Delhi CM Kejriwal

The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal seems to have taken the law of the land for a toss and has made a mockery of the criminal procedures by putting forth an insane demand. According to the so-called crusader against Corruption, a tainted Minister instead of being probed and punished should be applauded and rewarded. In response to the arrest of his Health Minister, the Delhi CM gave bizarre logic and with all his might shielded the tainted Minister Satyendra Jain who is currently in ED custody till 9th June.

He applauded the tainted Minister Jain and termed him a ‘patriot’. Further, He credited Jain for the over-hyped Mohalla Clinic and demanded to bestow Padma Vibhushan to the alleged Corrupt Minister. He said, ”Satyendar Jain is a patriot. The Country should be proud of him. He gave the Mohalla clinic to Delhi. People from across the world have come to see it. He should be given Padma Vibhushan. Let everyone enquire into him, CBI has already cleared him, ED will as well.”

Additionally, he gave a clean chit to the tainted Minister Jain and claimed that he had personally gone through the relevant papers of the case and found nothing wrong in them. He said, “It’s a fraud case against Satyendar Jain. We are hard-core patriots, can get beheaded but can never betray the country…I myself saw his papers, the allegations against him are fraud. He has been arrested in view of politics.”

For a reminder, the AAP party vehemently defended the main conspirator of the Delhi riot.

With this logic of the Delhi CM to reward an alleged corrupt Minister, it would not be foolhardy to think that the Party may demand the Nobel Peace Prize for Tahir Hussain, for all the noble and peaceful things he did in the Delhi riots. Also, the CM himself deserves an Oscar for all this “Nautanki” (Drama). As, no one can forget his habitual lies and speeches claiming that the Union government, specifically the PM and HM wants to kill him. Moreover, he often gets a beating from his own party members at peak election times. All these dramas make him a well-deserving candidate for an Oscar that too in the Best Actor and Director category and also for his record number of lies and deceits.

Who is Satyendra Jain, whom the Delhi CM wants to bestow Padma Vibhushan?

Satyendra Jain is the Health Minister of Delhi. He is alleged of money laundering when he was a public servant. The Enforcement Directorate has already attached his property to a tune of around 5 crores. Further, he is credited for the over-hyped Mohalla Clinics in Delhi. These Mohalla Clinics proved to be nothing more than a sham during the COVID Pandemic. So, this demand of Padma Vibhushan for him seems to be nothing more than a mockery of the people and shows the extent to which the party shamelessly backs its tainted Ministers and leaders.

These demands are insane as any sane person who is occupying any constitutional post must encourage citizens to have trust in law enforcement authorities. Further, he must not interfere and pass any conclusive judgement before letting the law run its due course. So, instead of sacking the tainted Health Minister, demand for Padma Vibhushan Award will only reduce the stature of the Delhi CM and his post. These cruel jokes of awarding Padma Vibhushan Award to Jain and Oscar to CM Kejriwal can be laughed at for the short run but will weaken the trust of people in the political system and leaders.
