When former BJP leader Nupur Sharma made a controversial but truth based remark, the entire left-liberal cabal and Islamists came down heavily on her claiming that she had hurt the religious sentiments. Perhaps they were assuming that they got a perfect opportunity to attack BJP and Hindu leaders and thus came out screaming and threatening to behead the politician.
However, the Islamist movement around Nupur Sharma has gloriously backfired and the sinister agendas seem to have been destroyed, and no, there is no one but Islamists themselves to be blamed for it.
Requests for putting the matter to rest
Ironically, the Islamists who, a few days back, were requesting severe punishment for Nupur Sharma, have now begun urging to put the matter to rest. The ‘peaceful’ people want the Islamist movement to be over.
Senior Journalist Saba Naqvi took to Twitter to ask their comrades to calm down. What a kind human being, right? She tweeted, “We need to put this matter triggered by a former BJP spoke to rest and not gloat over nations with poor human rights records raising the insult to The Prophet. The issue of blasphemy takes us into a tricky terrain and it’s better to avoid going there as a multi cultural nation.”
It must also be noted that there has been intense and excellent work done in India to call out fake news that profiled Muslims and created hate narratives against them. We also have superb tracking of hate crimes. Stick to that valuable work and allow this moment to pass now.

She further added, “It must also be noted that there has been intense and excellent work done in India to call out fake news that profiled Muslims and created hate narratives against them. We also have superb tracking of hate crimes. Stick to that valuable work and allow this moment to pass now.”
The left journalist Swati Chaturvedi too tried to project herself as a great Hindu and appreciate the religion. In a response to Journalist Sunanda Vashisht, “I am a practising Hindu & I have given you no right to speak for my religion. Who has licensed you to codify “blasphemy” for my composite & beautiful Hindu religion?”

She further tweeted, “Sunanda, genuine advise instead of ranting like an “Islamist” on “blasphemy” laws for my great religion which is inclusive & tolerant take a pause. And, beware of the Sangh. At least be a good Hindu.”
Swati Chaturvedi seems to have realised that if India had Hindu blasphemy laws, the likes of Saba Naqvi would never have the privilege to practice ‘freedom of speech.’ Thus, she also tweeted, “I live in India unlike you & as a proud citizen will always follow the law of the land.. & I don’t believe that India should ever have Hindu blasphemy laws.”

Why Islamists and liberals have toned down
If you think that these Islamists suddenly had a ‘change of mind,’ you are wrong. There’s so much behind the statements of liberals who are now asking to calm down over the Nupur Sharma controversy.
Remember how demeaning statements were made by these liberals when the news broke that a Shivling has been found inside the disputed Gyanvapi structure? Multiple jokes on Shivling had flooded the social media platforms.
Ironically, it was journalist Saba Naqvi, who displayed her bigotry when she mocked the religious beliefs of Hindus by making fun of Shivling. She shared two images of a Shivling and the domed structure at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. By doing so, the alleged journalist insulted Hindus and tried to make them look like fools. She has since deleted the tweet and issued a flimsy apology on Twitter.
Serial WhatsApp plagiarist Mahua Moitra took a cue from Saba Naqvi and shared two images of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. She captioned them saying, “Hope Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is not next on the digging list…”
Meanwhile, AIMIM leader Danish Qureshi had posted an extremely offensive comment on Shivling on social media, referring to the male genitalia.
Behind all the sarcasm, mockery, and ridicule that Islamists and liberals are showering on Hindus, there lies a deep-seated hatred for India’s majority community, its faith, religious symbols and culture at large.

What Nupur Sharma did was nothing but a question to those demeaning Hindus that “What if Hindus mock anyone else’s belief like this.” However, it is also a fact that she just reiterated whatever was out there in the public domain. In a TV debate, Nupur had said, “Mohammed married a 6-year-old girl and had sex with her at the age of 9.” She had also stated that according to Quran, Earth is flat, which is totally non-scientific.
For stating a fact which has already been told by Maulanas themselves, Nupur is being attacked on social media all over the world and is getting threats by many. Moreover, her address has been shared with everyone who wants to kill her.
Those involved in the movement have realised that if the Indian state began acting against the likes of Saba, they would have been subjected to severe punishments. This is exactly why the Islamic movement against Nupur Sharma is being called off gradually.
