For a long time, Uttarakhand has been in a state of political turmoil amidst the squabble for ownership of the throne. Even the current CM Dhami was not prevalent among the citizens but soon he grabbed the root cause, he started establishing his fate, resulting in his victory.
The victory of Pushkar Singh Dhami
On 3 June, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami achieved a massive victory in the by-polls held for the Champawat constituency seat, where the margin of victory was over 55,000 votes. This confirmed his seat in the Uttarakhand assembly and retained his Chief Ministerial powers. He won the elections by receiving 58,258 votes against just 3,233 votes secured by Nirmala Gahtori, the Congress candidate. With this victory, BJP has been marked as the first ruling party that has been voted back to power in Uttarakhand. However, he lost the Khatima seat to Congress candidate Bhuwan Chandra Kapri.
After the massive victory, Dhami thanked the people of Champawat for showering their love and blessings in the form of votes. He said, “My heart is very emotional at the time and I have no words.”

After the announcement of the winning of the Uttarakhand polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Dhami and said that he was confident that Pushkar Singh Dhami will work even harder for the progress of Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami has always been among the enthusiasts who live to serve the citizens of the country. His work has always been for the benefit of the people. His attempts to preserve our culture and the enhancement for re-establishing ourselves to our roots and ethnicity have also helped the country revive its origin.

Dhami always worked ‘For the People’
Dhami has always worked for the people even before handling the throne of Uttarakhand. His work was never noticed until he came to power and citizens were able to recognize his attempts toward a better nation. There were numerous works that Dhami initiated after his swearing as the Chief Minister.
The withdrawal of Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Act. various priests were demanding the 2019 Act to be repealed and the Devasthanam board be dissolved claiming that the laws are going against the tradition of the shrine. And this became possible under the leadership of Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Even after the long list of all the works done by CM Dhami, he was not able to get the deserving acknowledgement. Even after his rigorous attempts to serve the citizens, he lost the elections because he was not able to present his work to the masses which caused him the failure. But his work ethic didn’t stop, he continued working even and finally, his attempts came to fruition and helped him in winning the elections.
After winning the polls, he initiated the implementation of the UCC was one such step taken by Dhami. It was the biggest poll promise in the 2022 Uttarakhand assembly elections. The Uttarakhand CM announced the formation of a high-powered expert panel to plan and draft the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for the state.
CM Dhami has always been on the notion of working for the people but his work was never recognized deservingly. Once he stood up for his accomplishments for the citizens of the country, he secured a victory and came to power. This time again he has grabbed his glorious fate by recording a massive victory in Indian politics further expanding the roots of the BJP.
