The political betrayal by Shiv Sena Supremo Uddhav Thackeray was a shocker for many political analysts. Such a political betrayal would have easily sent normal politicians into a frenzy and forced them to take erratic decisions to come back to power. But even after losing his CM-ship to this betrayal, Devendra Fadnavis kept his political composure and acted as a responsible opposition. He peeled the layers of corruption and crime of the Maha VIkas Aghadi (MVA) government. Now, it seems that Fadnavis is having the last laugh and completely obliterating the political future of the betrayer Uddhav Ji.
Rebellion not an overnight decision
It may seem that out of the blue, Eknath Shinde led a successful rebellion against the Shiv Sena Chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. The truth is far beyond that. The rebellion was always brewing in the Shiv Sena from the day it broke its winning Hindutva alliance in the greed for CM post. But it is a matter of fact that no politician wants to go in a fresh election after a victory. So, the discrete individual rebellion was solidified because of the exemplary leadership skills of Devendra Fadnavis.
He was the one who demonstrated meticulous planning in the Rajya Sabha and state council elections. In those elections he brought the Independent as well as smaller parties away from the MVA fold. These led to the BJP’s success in increasing its tally and emboldening of the rebel Shiv Sainiks to capitalise the moment. This ended the invincibility of Thackerays within the party, which was the only hurdle in the Hindutva Yuti.
The last attempt to save grace: Please help me
After trying everything from emotional rhetoric to direct threats, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Ji realised the inevitable doom. So, in a last attempt to save himself from anymore disgrace, it is reported that Uddhav Ji dialled Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis for help.

The news reports claim that Uddhav Thackeray wanted a way out and was looking for options to tie up with BJP to have an honourable exit from this disgraceful fiasco for the Thackeray family. The reports also claimed that Devendra Fadnavis shrugged him off badly. Later on the expected lines, the Uddhav camp declined all such claims as rumours.
Greed brings yet another person down to dust
Uddhav Ji betrayed and compromised Hindutva for power. It seems that very soon he will neither have power nor Hindutva. As he who once betrayed Hindutva for Power, should never have Hindutva or power. Ensuring this, Devendra Fadnavis first declined CM Uddhav Thackeray’s call for political negotiations. Secondly, he met the Honourable Governor and apprised him of the fact that the current Uddhav government does not enjoy majority in the house and asked for a floor test.

Taking cognisance of the fact, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has convened a special session of the assembly for Floor test. To make sure that disruptions and other hurdles are not created in determining the majority in the house, the honourable Governor has made it amply clear that whatsoever condition the floor test has to conclude by 5 PM. He also noted the fact that certain rebel Shiv Sena MLAs have received dire threats.

Uddhav Ji must have now realised the fact that Power comes, power goes, but ideals should remain as no party can survive for long without a proper ideology. By scripting the political doom of Uddhav ji, Devendra Fadnavis has set a template example of punishing a betrayer. The people of Maharashtra had stamped the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis which was politically couped by Uddhav ji, but this could not stop the inevitable. Devendra Fadnavis as CM of Maharashtra in a Hindutva yuti (without arrogant and greedy Uddhav Thackeray) is the best punishment for the backstabbing.
