Political career and interests
He ran for Lok Sabha in 2019 on the Congress party’s behalf. However, he was unsuccessful. In a conversation, Bhavya stated: “I’ve always wanted to play for India in international cricket, and I even represented Delhi in under-15 competitions. I wasn’t under any pressure to get involved in politics. I personally made the decision to run for office, and I plan to make Hisar the Haryana state capital,”

Bhavya Bishnoi was born in Hisar, Haryana, India, on February 16, 1993. He is an Aquarius by birth sign. At The Shri Ram School in Moulsari, Gurgaon, Haryana, he received his education. After earning his BSc in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Bhavya Bishnoi went on to the University of Oxford in England to earn his MSc in Contemporary India.
He played one first-class cricket match for Oxford University versus Cambridge University in The University Match of 2016 while a student at Oxford. He batted twice throughout the game, being removed without scoring in Oxford’s first innings by Avish Patel and removed for 16 runs in Oxford’s second innings by the same bowler.
He returned to India after receiving his degree from Oxford and has since worked for a number of civil and social organizations.
Family
Hindus make up Bhavya Bishnoi’s family. Both his mother Renuka Bishnoi and his father Kuldeep Bishnoi are active in politics in India. Chaitanya Bishnoi, his younger brother, plays professional cricket for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Sia Bishnoi, his sister, is studying design at Parsons School of Design in New York, USA.
His grandfather Bajan Lal previously served three terms as a representative for the Hisar constituency. Kuldeep Bishnoi, Bajan Lal’s son, won the Hisar Lok Sabha seat in 2011, following his father’s passing. However, he was unsuccessful in keeping his seat in 2014.
