Yogi Adityanath’s reclamation model reaches Delhi

Delhi BJP

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been reclaiming the glorious Indian history and culture in the state. He has renamed many cities and places to revive the historical and cultural significance attached to them. Now, following this successful reclamation model, Delhi BJP has demanded to rename the roads and places named after Mughal tyrants.

Delhi BJP treading Yogi’s Path

India has a long list of atrocities committed against it. Among such horrible and ongoing abominations is the nomenclature for some roads and places. The roads, places, and cities glorifying Mughal tyrants are a symbol of the continuous suppression of the Indian psyche. These mass murderers ravaged India and drew sadistic pleasure in committing monstrosities on the Hindu community. To undo this travesty, Delhi BJP Chief Adesh Gupta has written a letter to New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal among others.

In his May 10th letter, Delhi BJP Chief has suggested renaming six roads named after Mughal tyrants to be renamed after real Indian heroes like Guru Gobind Singh, Maharana Pratap, and the first Chief of Defence Staff late General Vipin Rawat. Gupta said, “As we are celebrating 75 years of India’s independence, there should be no symbol of slavery in the city. We should remember people who have sacrificed for the country and contributed to its growth. It is not about Hindu-Muslim, it is about ideology. Are Aurangzeb, Tughlaq and Babar our role models?”

The NDMC officials have acknowledged the issue while the Delhi government has not cleared its stand-point. But going by their past track record, it is obvious that they will oppose it owing to their Muslim vote bank. NDMC vice-chairman Satish Upadhyay, said, “We have received the letter from Delhi BJP and we will look into their request. There is a proper procedure in place to change the name of a roads, street etc. It will be followed. But in my personal opinion, roads shouldn’t be named after those who tried to destroy our country’s culture and values.”

Uttar Pradesh setting Uttam Example

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi has been a vocal supporter of this reclamation model. He has changed the names of many places with Faizabad and Allahabad renamed Ayodhya and Prayagraj being the most noteworthy. This is a continuous process and CM Yogi has hinted at changing many more names in the future, like Badaun to be renamed Vedamau.

On the same lines, the Jammu and Kashmir administration had announced to rename government schools after security personnel who were killed in the area and eminent personalities hailing from the region. This is a mark of gratitude towards the great patriots of India for their untiring services and supreme sacrifices.
