How CM Yogi shredded the Left-liberal agenda on Savarkar’s Two Nation Theory

Veer Savarkar book

The narrative war – misinformation and disinformation campaign is not a new thing, it has been going on for centuries. The Britishers distorted and propagated falsehoods about many freedom fighters, according to their narrative. They devised terminology like terrorists/extremist for our great freedom fighters which sadly dragged on even after Independence. The Marxist distorians distorted history and cropped up unnecessary controversies to demean a great visionary leader of India, that is, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. But let’s delve in to find out the truth about the great man and bust the propaganda of the Islamo-leftists around Veer Savarkar.

UP CM remembers the Great Hero of the 20th Century: Veer Savarkar

What is the most horrific tragedy of the 20th century for India? The answer to that is the Partition and fruition of a communal two-nation theory proposed by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. What if the country had some visionary leader who would have nullified the communal demands of Md Ali Jinnah? Let me tell you that we had one patriot whose ideas could have prevented this horrific tragedy.  The UP CM Yogi Adityanath pointed this out and said, “If Congress had accepted what Veer Savarkar used to say, the country would have been saved from the tragedy of partition.”

UP CM Yogi paid tributes to the great man and also launched a book on the life journey of Veer Savarkar and called him the “great hero of the twentieth century”. The book is titled in Hindi, as “Veer Savarkar: The one who could have prevented the division of India and his vision on national security”.

He also credited Veer Savarkar for coining the term “Hindutva”. He also lambasted the then Congress government for outrageously comparing Savarkar with a nation breaker Jinnah. He added, “Veer Savarkar did not even get his ancestral property till 1960. The word ‘Hindutva’ was coined by Veer Savarkar. Many words of Hindi vocabulary are attributed to Veer Savarkar. But the government of that time compared him with Jinnah.”

Additionally, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath heaped praises on Veer Savarkar. He said, “There was no greater revolutionary, writer, poet, philosopher than him. He was not an ordinary person, he was sentenced to two life imprisonment in a single birth. In the prison cell, he did not have writing paper, he did the work of writing with nails on the walls of the jail.”

He also highlighted the relevance of Swatantra Veer Savarkar in today’s time and emphasised that only his visions can save India from any future partition. He added, “Veer Savarkar’s vision is relevant even today. Only Savarkar’s vision can save India from the tragedy of any partition again. This work of Savarkar ji should be known in every university library, thesis should be written on this, research should be done.”

‘Veer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar: Legacy downplayed to show others as great

Sometimes in envy or to eulogise someone else beyond what they had achieved in actuality, some legends are cut to size for it. The same was unfortunately done with Veer Savarkar so as to over-glorify the role of Congress in the Indian freedom struggle. But had it not been for Savarkar, India would still have known ‘The Indian War of Independence- 1857’ as ‘Sepoy Mutiny’. The leftist will never project this side of him. The fact is that all revolutionaries respected and idealised many of his visions.

In fact, several editions of his work on the First War of Independence, 1857 were published by other icons of the freedom struggle like Sardar Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Lala Hardayal. Further, his struggles against casteism in Hindu religion have been ignored for sidelining this great statesman. “No one should ever think that a certain Hindu caste is high or that another is low. The notion of high and low will be determined by the overt merit of individuals.”

It is a fact that legends never die, they survive in the hearts and minds of the people they have touched or transformed. Events like these in the fond memories of Swatantra Veer Savarkar highlight the important role he played in our Independence. So, no matter what ugly mudslinging the left may try against Veer Savarkar, his visions and works will survive. It will bust all their falsehoods be it the ridiculous charge of proposing the two-nation theory or the outrageous charge of being a British stooge. As far as his naysayers are concerned, he is too tall of a leader for them to morally comprehend.
