Democrat ruled Connecticut recognizes April 29 as Khalistani Independence Day

Ever since the fake farmers’ protest started to grab the international headlines, fears were being expressed that it would lead to a rejuvenation of sympathy for Khalistan. That is why when Democrat-led Connecticut recognised Khalistan Independence Day, it did not surprise many.

Connecticut supports Khalistan

On April 29, a video was released on YouTube in which some Sikhs were seen standing on a stage with a few American officials. The video was shot in Connecticut. Sikhs present in the video were holding anti-India placards. The officials present on the stage announced that the state of Connecticut has decided to recognise April 29th as Sikh Independence Day. This means that from now, Connecticut officially does not recognise Sikhs to be an official part of India.

Officers from Connecticut announced, “The Connecticut General Assembly offers its sincerest congratulations to the World Sikh Parliament in recognition of the 36th anniversary of the declaration of Sikh Independence. We join with you, your friends, and your family in commemorating the historic resolution passed on April 29th, 1986 by the collective Sikh Nation gathering known as ‘Sarbat Khalsa,’ Sikhs Political Centre, situated in the holy city of Amritsar in Punjab”

The official document about this criminal act was shared by RP Singh, national spokesperson of the BJP. Sharing the official declaration by the state, he asked the Joe Biden administration to intervene.

Condemnation from every quarter

Meanwhile, the move by Connecticut drew a vast swath of criticism from all quarters. The first group to condemn this ghastly move was the Consulate General of India, New York. In a press release, it wrote, “These vested interests seek to divide communities and promote bigotry and hatred. Their agenda of violence has no place in democratic societies like the USA and India”

Similarly, the Indian World forum also came out with all guns blazing against Khalistan Independence Day. It clearly states that no matter how many problems Sikhs may face, they always approach state administration and judiciary. The forum outrightly called those lobbying in Connecticut as anti-India agents working at the behest of other countries.

It is a new India

Meanwhile, Congress has gone on to a totally different level to criticise the USA. Taking a cue from S. Jaishankar‘s Method of firing back at Americans for their hypocrisy, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Congress MP asked Ashok Gehlot led Rajasthan government to declare Texas as a part of Mexico. Texas is an American state bordering Mexico.

Democrats consider themselves as the Big Daddy of the world. But the way this time they have faced retaliation from both sides of the Indian political spectrum tells us that new India is not going to tolerate outside interference in its sovereignty.
