Chances are that Yasin Malik will never step out of jail in his entire lifetime

Jammu & Kashmir was transformed into hell by the coordination of terrorists and the pampering of the successive governments. The “Heaven of Earth” was purposefully made hell by these terrorists. But, the strong and non-tolerating policies against terrorists by the Modi government have not only prevented the further rise of violence, but have also brought the perpetrators of J&K under the might of the law.

The Kingpin of terrorism

In a recent development of the case, the special NIA court convicted Kashmiri terrorist ‘Yasin Malik’ in connection with J&K terrorist activities. After the framing of charges under section 120B (Punishment of criminal conspiracy), 121 (waging or attempting to wage war or abetting waging of war against the Government of India, 121A (Conspiracy to commit offenses punishable under 121) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and section 13 (Punishment for unlawful activities), 15 (Terrorist act), 17 (Punishment for raising fund for the terrorist act), 18 (Punishment for conspiracy), 20 (Punishment for being a member of terrorist gang or organization, 38 (Offence relating to membership of a terrorist organization) and 39 (Offence relating to support given to a terrorist organization) of the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), 1967, the terrorist had pleaded guilty for the crime.

Although the final quantum of the punishment is yet to be decided by the court, the various sections of IPC and UAPA are sufficient for imprisonment for life, or in exceptional cases, he might even be hanged till death.

Youth Icon and camaraderie with Islamic-leftist

During the UPA government, Yasin Malik roamed freely in the corridors of power, and his picture with the then PM Manmohan Singh was a grave injustice to the slain Air force personnel whom he had murdered in cold blood. Since the then government was trying to cosy up with him, media houses presented him as a reformer. He was called the Kashmiri youth icon, and to utter shock and dismay, was even compared with great freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh (which is nothing but demeaning the great legacy of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh).

Continuing with its firm policy of Zero-tolerance against corruption, the Union government has made a watertight case against these anathemas of humanity. Yasin Malik is just the first domino of terrorism in Kashmir. Soon the entire Islamist lot will be served justice, and the black chapters of terrorism in Kashmir will end forever. Hence, it is time for the Left-liberals to hoard some common sense and detach from these evil villains.

Justice might be delayed for some time, but the conviction of this sinner will once again instil the trust of law in the eyes of common populace in our great country. Further, the punishment of Yasin Malik with the highest term possible under the law will develop a sense of deterrence among potential terrorists who freely promote terrorism and anti-nationalism in the country.
