The tripartite struggle to do corruption continues in the alliance (MVA) of NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena. Earlier two ministers, Nawab Malik of NCP & Anil Deshmukh of Congress are logged into jail concerning money laundering cases. And now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached the property of the family of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in the Patrachawal redevelopment Project case.
ED has provisionally attached immovable properties of Rs 11Cr under PMLA in Patrachawal redevelopment Project case. The attached assets are in form of lands held by Pravin Raut at Palghar, flat at Dadar of Smt Varsha Raut and plots at Alibaug held by Varsha Raut and Swapna Patkar.

The Patra Chawl Scam
Guruashish Constructions, a subsidiary company of Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (HDIL) had a contract for the redevelopment of Patra Chawl. But the company did not complete the project and sold the land for 1034 crores.
Pravin Raut, one of the directors of the HDIL is a friend of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and is a key accused in this case. The wife of Pravin Raut had given an interest-free loan of INR 50 lakhs to Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha Raut.
The other accused of the scam, Sujit Patkar has been closely associated with the Raut family and Sanjay Raut’s daughter is a partner of Patkar in a wine trading company.
ED doubt that it is a pure case of money laundering where through Placement, Layering and Integration, the illegal money is being laundered in the White Market.

MVA – Maharashtra ‘Vinash’ Aghadi
Maharashtra is suffering from the immoral alliance of the three ideologically different parties. The everyday corruption charges against ministers and their families have affected the state’s growth trajectory. The dire situation of law and order and corruption has affected the developmental projects in the state.
Since the formation of the government, MVA’s two serving ministers are facing serious charges of corruption, money laundering and extortion.
The state of the situation can be predicted from the fact that the serving home minister of the government was absconding for three months and later was arrested on serious charges of extortion.
And, Nawab Malik, another serving minister of the MVA alliance was arrested for money laundering and his connections with terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

The Total Policy Paralysis in Maharashtra
The indulgence of ministers and MLAs in corruption and extortion cases has affected the growth and development of the state. Most of the members of the alliance are in a rush to get some butter before the end of the MVA rule in Maharashtra.
Former Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis said, “ these parties had formed the government by deception and that there was a ‘20-20 match’ on between them as to who was more corrupt than the other two”, reported The Hindus.
In effect of the situation, the state is suffering the most. The ineffective governance in covid times and Policy Paralysis due to the unveiling of corruption show the failure of the MVA alliance on every front.

The ED has given a tough time to the corrupt government in Maharashtra. Furthermore, to save the corrupt and criminals, the MVA government has decided to set up an SIT to probe the officers of ED in order to affect the probe. Earlier also the MVA government had tried to intimidate the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer, Sameer Wankhede while he was probing the drug cases in Maharashtra.
The days are numbered for the MVA in Maharashtra. The people have suffered a lot with the immoral alliance and are ready to root out the corrupt and extortionist government in Maharashtra.
