Kejriwal never stops sermonizing about democracy, liberty, and freedom, but in practice, he has again proven that he is an enemy of a free society. Recently, a scam of Rs 6 lakh bridge was exposed by the PTC News and now the MD of the News channel has been arrested by the authorities.

The arrest of PTC’s MD Rabindra Narayan
Punjab police have arrested the MD of Punjabi News channel PTC on sexual harassment charges. It is alleged by the complainant that, on the pretext of PTC’s Miss Punjaban Contest, they were asked to sleep with some people or pay 10-12 lakh for release. The complainant further alleged that they are running a drug and human trafficking racket.
Considering the above complaint, Punjab Police has registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Furthermore, many people have been arrested and on 6 April the MD of the PTC News was detained, reported by The Times of India.
The charges against the MD are very serious. The wrongful confinement, criminal force woman with intent to outrage her modesty and sexual harassment are cognizable and must be dealt with an iron hand. The investigation on the matter should be conducted by a formation of a special task force as there are allegations of drug and human trafficking. The nexus of drug trafficking mafia needs to be investigated properly as there is a high chance of international syndicate in this regard.
However, it is the timing of this arrest that makes one wonder.

The Scam
A video is being widely circulated online, in which PTC News ground reporters have checked the claim of Bhagwant Mann. Where he claimed that the estimate to make the bridge was about 1.8 crores, but he claimed to complete it in 6 lakhs rupees.
The claim was debunked by PTC News. As they reached the place, there were two ‘broken cemented electricity poles’ laid on the canal instead of a bridge.

Punjab CM on Election Pilgrimage, the law on vacation in Punjab
While Kejriwal and his newly appointed CM are on election pilgrimage to Himachal Pradesh, the mafia has taken control of Punjab. On April 5, Kabaddi player Dharminder Singh was shot dead in front of Punjabi University Patiala.

In an earlier incident, another international player of kabaddi, Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambian was shot dead during a Kabaddi tournament.
Moreover, the arrest of the MD of PTC news has raised the serious questions on the freedom of press in the state. The action against the news channel is a direct strike on the fourth pillar of democracy. Any kind of intimidation and suppression of the press is a violation of law and fundamental rights of expression.

The investigation against the MD and others needs to be transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as the charges of drug and human trafficking ultimately lead to terror financing. But the timing of his arrest raises some serious questions. As he was arrested just after the exposed video of his claim went viral.
Suppressing the facts and terrorising media to fallow and hiding truth and boosting app image by fooling the public are the success formula of kezri but it will boomerang oneday that will be his doomsday
