Vision IAS shamelessly justifies its stance after its Hinduphobia was exposed

Indian Administrative Services, a dream that many Indians want to pursue has been a part of recent controversy. A video from Vision IAS classes, an institute for preparation of the exam has been doing rounds on the internet, where the faculty can be seen preaching ‘Hinduphobia’. The institute has however issued an ‘apology’ justifying the ‘Hinduphobia’ by its faculty.

The viral Vision IAS video

Vision IAS, a premier training institute for Civil Service aspirants has landed in a controversy. A video has gone viral, where the faculty identified as Smriti Shah has been teaching some inappropriate facts about Bhakti Movement, claim the netizens.

In the video, she claimed that Islam has a “casteless theology and social order.” Smriti Shah, the Vision IAS tutor has been teaching the students that the “Bhakti cult” in Hinduism started as a response to liberalism in Islam.

She went on to say, that when Islam came to India, it talked about liberalism, equality and preached a society free from discrimination. This is what attracted the ‘oppressed’ section of the Hindu society to convert to Islam.

Outrage on Twitter

The netizens claimed it as an attempt to malign the Bhakti Movement that was propagated by Shankaracharya. And there has been a widespread outrage on Twitter.

Also, after Vision IAS’s “Bhakti cult” video went viral, the netizens dug up several other videos of the same institute, propagating objectionable statements against Hindus.

In several tweets, the Twitter users pointed out how the coaching institute is sharing propaganda filled anti- Hindu content.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri took to Twitter to criticize the institute’s propaganda. He wrote, “Wonderful Vision IAS! You have opened a shop for brain washing (students).” He requested Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to look into the matter and stop this kind of radical propaganda of one religion at the cost of another.

Twitter user Shefali Vaidya, asked if Vision IAS is actually Vision Zakir Naik?  In another tweet she went on to share different videos from the same institutes, some filled with bigotry towards Hindus and others praising Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.

Another Twitter user, Ashutosh J. Dubey, mentioned in his tweet that he has filed a complaint against coaching institute Vision IAS with the Delhi Police for mocking Hindu Dharma.

Another Twitter user with the handle Eminent Intellectual explained a chronology calling out Vision IAS and tutor Smriti Shah.

Vision IAS’s paper apology

After this widespread outrage, the coaching institute released an ‘apology’ which actually lacked an apology. In the letter, the propagandist teacher was called an “esteemed faculty”. Vision IAS tried to defend itself by saying that the video being shared is a small part of the discussion.

The institute even in its statement went on to call the Bhakti movement a “cult” and tried to convince the readers that her faculty did no wrong by propagating her anti-Hindu propaganda. In the statement too, the institute went on to claim that Islam has “casteless theology and social order” ignoring the subsections of Islam such as Shia, Sunni, Ahmadiyya, Hazaras etc. and not to mention there is cutthroat discrimination between these sects.

The Vision IAS did present an apology to all those whose “sentiments have been hurt.” And this shows the blatant woke behaviour of the coaching institute and reflects their mindset that they can say anything about Hinduism and get away with it.

Several videos surfaced on social media unveiling the true colours of Vision IAS. Not only the blatant disregard of the Bhakti movement but also the inherent Hinduphobia of the institute has been exposed. And it is high time we start teaching corrected history to our upcoming generations, thus not making them braggarts of invaders.
