PM Modi takes a dig at dynasts
In the BJP Parliamentary Party meet in Ambedkar Bhawan, PM Modi emphatically declared that “family politics” would not be allowed in the BJP. With this he gave out a loud and clear message to BJP MPs. He emphasised that BJP has to challenge and fight with family led politics in other parties. PM Modi even said, that if someone’s kin was denied a ticket, I take responsibility.
PM Modi claimed that it was a conscious decision to not hand over party tickets to children of BJP MPs for assembly polls. PM Modi said, “there is an atmosphere against dynastic politics in the country and respecting this sentiment of the people, the BJP took a decision to not give tickets to family member of party leaders.” PM Modi also cautioned partymen on the ills of dynastic politics which, he said, led to casteism.
BJP had entered the political domain with a clear political messaging against dynasty politics. And the way BJP has defended its government in four states, it seems that political message has reached the masses with aplomb
