Career

Meenakshi Dixit debuted in the Indian film business in 2008 as a participant on NDTV Imagine’s dance reality show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan, hosted by Saroj Khan. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Lifestyle.

Meenakshi went on to model for Joyalukkas Jewelry, Microsoft Windows, Fair and Handsome cream, Chennai Silks, Shankaram diamond jewellery, Brook Bond Taza tea, Paaneri Sarees, Lee Cooper, Red Square Energy Drink, Radio Mirchi, ESSAR, Anytime Fitness gym, and Aquagaurd, among others. She has also worked as a model for the fashion industry and has appeared in several important Indian publications.

In 2011, she made a cameo appearance in Dookudu, the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year, in a dance sequence. Following Dookudu, she was picked to perform a dance number in the Bodyguard remake, in the hopes of repeating the success of her Dookudu act. [8] She also had an item number in the Tamil film Billa II, which was one of her most ambitious projects to date.

In 2014, she appeared in two films as the leading lady. In the Tamil period comedy Tenaliraman, she played a princess and she played an aspiring sharp shooter in the thriller-drama Adavi Kachina Vennela, in which she also performed stunts. In 2015, she made her Bollywood debut in Kundan Shah’s P Se PM Tak, which won him a National Award.

Meenakshi portrayed a feisty prostitute who rises through the ranks to become Chief Minister and eventually Prime Minister of the country. In 2016, she starred as Randeep Hooda’s onscreen love interest in Laal Rang, in which she plays a medical student.

Bayam Oru Payanam was her most recent Tamil film. She then starred as Nidhi in the Telugu film Maharshi, which was released in 2019.

Ishwar Chandra Dixit, a distinguished lawyer in Raebareli’s Civil Court, and Geeta Dixit are her parents. Meenakshi Dixit was born in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, India, to a lawyer father, Mr. Ishwar Chandra Dixit, and a mother, Mrs. Geeta Dixit. Geeta is a science graduate with a creative streak.

Throughout her school and college years, she excelled in academics, sports, dancing, singing, and acting. Saroj Khan, a choreographer, saw her and introduced her on his show “Nacheleve with Saroj Khan.” She went on to work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films after that.

Meenakshi Dixit made her Bollywood debut in the political satire P Se PM Tak, directed by National Award winner Mr. Kundan Shah, in which she played a combative protagonist.
