Elon Musk is not a happy man. In fact, ever since Joe Biden has become the President of the United States of America, Elon Musk is the most frustrated fellow around. You see, the Biden administration is a left-leaning regime. Therefore, Elon Musk finds himself at odds with the White House on more occasions than once on a monthly basis now. The Tesla CEO has in the months gone by too, never minced any words vis-à-vis, Joe Biden. Now, however, it seems an all-out feud between the two has made itself public.
Joe Biden delivered his first State of the Union address on Tuesday. Once again, he ignored Tesla. This is to say that Tesla – the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the United States – found no mention in Biden’s speech. The US President praised Ford and General Motors instead during the address for investing in the country to build electric vehicles and creating local jobs. Essentially, Biden mentioned Tesla’s competitors, but not Tesla. And Elon Musk did not like this.
Elon Musk’s Takedown of Biden
In a tweet shared by Biden, he mentioned how companies like Ford and General Motors (GM) are creating thousands of jobs in the US by investing $11 billion and $7 billion, respectively. The remarks irritated Musk.
Replying to Biden’s tweet, Musk said that Tesla has created over 50,000 local jobs and the company was investing more than double of what General Motors and Ford were investing together. This, he added, was an “FYI” (for your information) to the person controlling this (President Biden’s) Twitter account.

Meanwhile, in an email to CNBC, Elon Musk said, “Nobody is watching the State of the Union.” Elon Musk who also runs space exploration company SpaceX apart from Tesla has an estimated net worth of over $235 billion.
Previous Run-ins with Joe Biden
In January, Elon Musk really went all-out against Joe Biden. In a tweet, he called Biden “a damp [sock] puppet in human form.” He also said, “Biden is treating the American public like fools.”

The remarks came after the White House decided to not invite Elon Musk to a summit meeting organised by Joe Biden with top business leaders. Back then, Biden took to Twitter to say, “companies like GM and Ford are building more electric vehicles here at home than ever before.”
According to CNBC, some Biden advisers have purportedly warned against inviting Musk to the White House due to concerns that he would say something to embarrass the administration. On his part, Elon Musk has said he would never do anything of the sort if he received an invitation, adding that the White House would have “nothing to worry about.”
Joe Biden is not a fan of Tesla since its factories are not unionised, which means Tesla’s employees are not organised as a union. For a leftist administration, that scene is just too difficult to digest.

The Biden administration’s repeated snubs to Tesla come despite the company selling more EVs than any other manufacturer while having a market valuation of nearly $900 billion.
In September 2021, Elon Musk had replied to a Twitter user who said that the US President had refused to even recognise the four newest American astronauts who had completed a historic trip as the first all-civilian flying crew. Musk said, “He’s (Biden’s) still sleeping.”
Joe Biden has prioritized investments in electric vehicles and other green energy technologies as part of the “Build Back Better Act”. Yet, Tesla does not seem to figure anywhere in Joe Biden’s scheme of things – despite being the biggest EV player in the United States.
It’s an all-out Joe Biden vs Elon Musk fight now. Elon Musk has vast resources. Heading into the midterm polls, and subsequently, the 2024 presidential elections where Donald Trump is looking to make a comeback – Joe Biden will be well advised to not make an enemy out of the SpaceX and Tesla CEO.
