Kapil Sharma presented the Indian sketch comedy and celebrity discussion show Comedy Nights With Kapil, which started on Colors TV on June 22, 2013 and ended on January 24, 2016. In a comedy-focused talk show format, many of the episodes feature celebrity guests who usually arrive to promote their latest films.

On September 25, 2013, a fire broke out on the show’s sets at Goregaon’s Film City, causing the entire set to collapse and a loss of approximately Rs. 20 crore. Following the fire, two episodes of Bigg Boss were shot at Lonavla on Bigg Boss sets. The show became India’s highest-rated scripted TV drama in September 2013.

Sharma was named Entertainer of the Year at the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year awards in 2013.

After three years of success, Kapil Sharma chose to end the show due to a disagreement with the channel Colors. Due to low Target rating points and intense competition from Kapil, Colors began rebroadcasting old episodes of the show in their Sunday afternoon time slots in August 2016.

Veer Shivaji is a Colors TV historical drama series set in India. The show is on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire in the 17th century. Contiloe Telefilms, which had previously produced the historical drama Jhansi Ki Rani on Zee TV, produced the show, which premiered on September 2, 2011. From 3 October 2011, the show was expanded to five days a week (Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm) due to its immediate success and popularity, with a TRP of more than 2.60.
