The mega-budget graphic novel Atharva: The Origin was announced in 2020. At that time Atharva was mentioned as, ‘an adaptation of an unpublished book by a debutant author.’ The project is being headed by MVM Vel Mohan. The series is being presented by Virzu Studios in association with MIDAS Deals. The motion poster of the series garnered a lot of attention and fans are praising the ex-Captain for his acting skills.
Dhoni replaces King Khan
This is not the first time when the teaser has been released where the lead is shown with long hair and six-pack abs. Before Mahi, King Khan i.e. Shah Rukh Khan was approached for the role. Even a similar kind of teaser was released in 2015 showing Khan with long hair and six-pack abs fighting with the demons. For some reason, Khan left and the fans of cricketer are delighted to watch their favourite on screen.
Also, this time Atharva is backed by Dhoni Entertainment, the media company founded by MS and Sakshi Dhoni themselves in 2019.
Dhoni and the world of entertainment
Dhoni has been on and off the TV screens for a while now. He is the brand ambassador of several companies like GoDaddy, Unacademy among others. His biopic also hit the theatres back in 2016 that became a blockbuster. Fans have always loved Mahi on and off the field. This time MS Dhoni fans are even more excited to watch their hero as a superstar fighting with the demons.
This is the first time that Dhoni has taken the plunge himself on the screen and it will be very interesting to watch how the series turns out to be.
