Pakistani military establishment, since 1948, has been unsuccessfully trying to snatch Kashmir from India. On February 5, liberals, Islamists, and Pakistani stooges across the world observed something called the ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’.
It was a few days back when Hyundai also jumped into the bandwagon to pitch in to call for a “Free Kashmir”. Now, fast food restaurant chain KFC has also begun doing the “Free Kashmir” thing. With this move, it has landed itself in trouble as India has decided to boycott the food restaurant chain.
KFC’s ‘solidarity’ with Kashmir
KFC is caught up in the controversy as the brand’s official Pakistan handle shared a post in a public display of ‘solidarity’ with Kashmir. On February 5, the post was shared on Facebook to observe ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’.
The screenshot of the now-deleted KFC’s post showed a caption that can be read as, “You never left our thoughts and we hope that the coming years bring peace to you!”
Along with the caption, a picture with the text “Kashmir Belongs To The Kashmiris,” was posted.
#BoycottKFC trending on Twitter
Soon after the post grabbed the eyeballs of the netizens, they quickly expressed their fury over it. #BoycottKFC began trending on Twitter. In the aftermath of the boycott by Indians, the post was immediately deleted.
A Twitter user wrote, “I am glad that I have never eaten in KFC. #BoycottKFC.”

Another one also slammed KFC saying that he will not order anything from the latter. he tweeted, “I was standing in front of @KFC_India and was about to order something for my friend , then we saw this post . Now we ll go to #haldirams . Bye bye @KFC_India #boycottkfc #KashmirSolidarityWithIndia.”

KFC apologizes after being slammed
The backlash by Indians forced food restaurant organization to apologize for the gaffe. Not only did KFC India delete the video but also issued an apology on Monday. The brand’s official Twitter handle released the statement that reads, “We deeply apologize for a post that was published on some KFC social media channels outside the country. We honour and respect India, and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving all Indians with pride.”
Hyundai’s unauthorized Kashmir related post
Hyundai Pakistan had also marked ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ on Saturday and urged people to remember the ‘sacrifice’ of Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Posting an image from Kashmir, the caption read, “Let us remember the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers and stand in support as they continue to struggle for freedom.”
When Indians on Twitter began asking some tough questions from Hyundai, its official handle in the country had the temerity to block such users on the micro-blogging platform!

There must be something wrong with these brands which have their pockets filled with a majority of the money of Indian consumers. While KFC has realized that the so-called “solidarity” can cost them a lot, Hyundai is yet to apologize.
These are all tactics to affect FDI coming to india & to derail our economy
