Ambati Rambabu was born in 1959 in Repalle, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Later, he moved to Avanigadda village in Diviseema which is in Krishna district to complete his high school. Again, he came back to Repalle to continue his further studies and LLB.

Ambati Rambabu finished his education in Andhra Pradesh and graduated from Nyaya Vidya Parishad Law College in Visakhapatnam with a bachelor’s degree in law.

Ambati Rambabu was elected to the legislature for the first time in 1989 and lost three more times till 2018. He ran for Sattenappli in the 2019 general elections and defeated TDP sitting MLA “Kodela Siva Prasad Rao.”
