Yezdi Motorcycles are set to make a grand comeback with a brand new avatar. Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd., a part of the Mahindra Group, has sent the media a block your date invitation, confirming the much-anticipated return of the Motorcycles.
Yezdi to be relaunched after 25 years
25 years since their last produced bike, Yezdi’s bike was spotted in a TV commercial shoot. It is rumoured that the advertisement being shot was for the relaunch of the iconic bikes.
The new models of Yezdi bikes have been named Yezdi Adventure, Yezdi Scrambler, and Yezdi Road King. One of the Yezdi models resembles the Himalayan of Royal Enfield, one of the most popular bikes in India. These motorcycles are all set to give a tough competition to Royal Enfield and Jawa.
Mahindra and Mahindra is the driving force behind Yezdi’s resurgence
The rumors of Yezdi making a comeback started to surface when Mahindra and Mahindra Group decided to invest in Classic Legends.
Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. is a company that aims to re-introduce iconic marquee brands. In 2018, Classic Legends launched Jawa bikes for Indian bike-lovers. The beginning of 2021 witnessed Classic Legends applying for the trademark of Yezdi Roadking.
The bikes are expected to pull their power from a 334 cc single-cylinder motor, which has already been seen on the Jawa Perak. The engine is expected to develop about 30 bhp and 32.74 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Moreover, it is expected that users will be able to fine-tune the engine according to their needs.
The bike is expected to be launched in early 2022
Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group tweeted about the comeback of the legendary motorcycle. Posting a pic of the production facility, he wrote, “guess I’ve got #Y on my mind.

It is expected that the company will be launching all three Yezdi motorcycles on 13th January 2022. Though there has been no official confirmation about the date of launch, the market is waiting for the final deliverance of the bikes. Whenever it’s launched, it will provide a huge boost to the tertiary economy providing feeder services to the product
