Owaisi wants to be the Kasim Razvi of 2021 and he might end up suffering the same fate

Owaisi, Kasim Razwi, Hyderabad

Not so long ago, Asaduddin Owaisi’s brother Akbaruddin had threatened Hindus. Now, a similar verbal attack has been launched by Asaduddin himself. In what seemed to be a carbon copy of Kasim Razvi, Owaisi  warned police forces to act according to his will or face dire consequences.

Owaisi threatens UP Police

In a clip now going viral, the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief directly threatened Uttar Pradesh Police. It can be observed that Asaduddin is trying to suggest that the Uttar Pradesh police is biased against Muslims.

During his speech in Kanpur, barely 80-km away from the UP government’s headquarters in Lucknow, Owaisi launched a veiled attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

Claiming that Allah will destroy UP Police, he said, “Please remember, Yogi will not be the Chief Minister always. Modi will not be the Prime Minister forever. We Muslims will not forget your injustice. We will remember this injustice. Allah will destroy you through his strength. Things will change. Who will come to save you then? When Yogi will return to his mutt and Modi will retreat to the mountains, then who will come?”

Asaduddin forced to defend himself

His direct threat to law-enforcement agencies did not go well for everyone. After facing flak for his offence, Owaisi retreated to defend himself. Posting a 2-minute clip on Twitter, Owaisi accused the opposition of misrepresenting him. Referring to his citation of Allah, he defended it by saying, “It’s an essential part of my faith to believe that Allah does not allow injustice. He punishes oppressors. We are taught the lesson of Firaun, the lesson of Namrud, the lesson of Yazid. Assuring people of Allah’s justice gives hope. We remember that Allah is with oppressed”

Owaisi is just following Kasim Razvi

Owaisi’s threat should not come off as a surprise for anyone aware of the history of AIMIM. Asaduddin is just following the footsteps of Kasim Razvi, former president of AIMIM. When India was being divided by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his Congress counterparts, Razvi was one of the people trying to accede modern-day Hyderabad to Pakistan.

Kasim Razvi was a radical Islamist who wanted to establish Nizam’s rule at any cost. He had no qualms in massacring millions of Hindus for this purpose. Since it was geographically impossible to integrate Hyderabad with Pakistan, Razvi decided to resist accession to India. For this purpose, he decided to form an army of Razakars.

If not for Sardar Patel, millions of Hindus would have been killed by Razvi’s militia

Razvi’s forces were no match for independent Indian forces. After various rounds of failed negotiations with Razvi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the Iron Man of India decided to use police force to save the lives of millions of innocent Hyderabadis.

Indian forces Launched ‘Operation Polo’ against Razakars. Razakars were Pakistani loyalists living in Hyderabad. They blocked these violent extremists from five directions. With nowhere to go, Razvi and his separatist militias were forced to surrender on 18 September 1948. Mir Laik Ali, the Prime Minister of the Nizam, and Qasim Rizvi were arrested.

Later Razvi was sent to jail from where he was released in 1957 by the Jawahar Lal Nehru government. Within forty-eight hours of his release, he fled to Pakistan, where his family had already established their base from 1949.

Owaisi is scared of losing relevance

Asaduddin’s attack on police forces is a defensive act by a politician, who is scared of his support getting eroded in his party’s base. RSS and BJP seem to have zeroed down on renaming Hyderabad to Bhagaynagar, which poses a direct threat to the ‘popularity’ of the Owaisi brothers in the state itself.

Owaisi’s mention of CM Yogi and PM Modi as a defender of forces is a testament to the fact that India’s democratic structure is built on thousands of year’s old Sanatani morality. As Owaisi himself said, if both leaders were not in the power, no one would be there to defend Indian civil defence personnel from the scourge of Islamists. If they are allowed to come to power, only Sharia Police will rule the roster.
