Congress and its ecosystem, bereft of any idea or opportunity to demean the Bharatiya Janta Party and the right-wing activists, has yet again resorted to fake news. Blind in their hatred towards the ruling government, the aged-old party and the liberals did not even spare CDS Bipin Rawat. The opposition, stoop to a new low, when it pawned Brigadier Lidder’s daughter, Aashna Lidder, to frame a story to target the right-wing organization as well as the saffron party.
Fake news spread about Lidder’s daughter:
Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder, the defence advisor to CDS General Bipin Rawat, was travelling with him on the helicopter that crashed in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday and was one of those who died in the shocking incident. His daughter Aashna Lidder was seen performing the last rites on Friday. While speaking to the media, she said, “I am going to be 17. So he was with me for 17 years, we will go ahead with happy memories. It’s a national loss. My father was a hero, my best friend. Maybe it was destined and better things will come our way. He was my biggest motivator.”
After two days of the tragic demise of Brigadier, her Twitter account was deactivated. The Congress party and its mouthpiece NDTV, like they always do, made an opportunity out of it to defame the right-wing. The opposition and the left media house went on to claim that she has deactivated her Twitter account in the aftermath of abuse and rape threats by the right-wing for her ideology against the saffron party.

Congress social media coordinator Gaurav Pandhi tweeted, “Vicious Modi Bhakts trolled & abused the courageous Aashna Lidder d/o martyr Brig LS Lidder for her anti-Adityanath & anti-BJP views, to the extent that she’d to deactivate her account. All this while her father’s funeral pyre was still burning. This is RSS’s farzi Nationalism!”

Shiv Sena party leader Priyanka Chaturvedi also jumped into the bandwagon and tweeted, “17 year old,grieving yet holding strong,has just cremated her father,a decorated army officer,is being trolled for her views,they want to moderate her woke-ism, military train compulsorily, want her to be corrected. In the process got her to delete her account. How low will you go?”

Aashna Lidder, the daughter of Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder:
Ever since the demise of Brigadier Lidder, Aashna’s Twitter account has grabbed the attention of netizens. A screenshot of a tweet from an account named Aashna Lidder criticising UP CM Yogi Adithyanath is doing rounds on social media these days.
As many claimed that Lidder is ‘woke’ as she shares the same ideology as that of Congress and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, others, to peddle their agendas falsely claimed that right-wing users started trolling Lidder on the tweet that led her to deactivate the account.
However, there exists no evidence to support the claim as there were no rape threats reported or found. The opposition needs to work hard on its political acumen as it is the result of these wicked acts that the party is struggling to even exist in politics.
